It's the end of the year and that can only mean one thing: it's time to put that thing down flip it and rewind it... or whatever Missy Elliott said. 2022 gave the world a lot of great pop culture, but what piqued the interest of our boys the most this year? It's time to find out!
Bells may be jingling and snow may be falling to the ground (in the colder parts of the world), but before the ball drops in Times Square and the calendar rolls over to 2023 the boys have joined together with their 2022 media top 5 lists and they're ready rewind the clock to share it with all of you! A lot of the topics shared during this recap were topics discussed throughout the year, so the boys in some instances only shared some highlights (we encourage you to go back and listen to the previous round tables and micros to hear more about them) and for a few of the topics they dive a little deeper to share some more opinions and feelings. You won't be spoiled by the entire list here, but here's a holiday teaser to whet your appetite before you listen. They boys chat about movies including The Menu, Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, TV shows including She-Hulk, Andor, and Rings of Power, and music including Midnights, Renaissance, and Girl of My Dreams. After checking out these 20 (plus a few extra add ons), why not share your picks with us on social media and tag us in the conversation!

Before tackling the topics, the boys chat about the recent cast announcement for RuPaul's Drag Race Season 15 premiering on MTV on January 6th along with a discussion on streaming and holding onto media you want to consume at your discretion. Are you a superhero (or villain) in need of a lawyer? Maybe you're just looking for a new law firm to work for and want to meet Megan Thee Stallion so you can twerk with her in an office with a view. Well, Jennifer Walters would like to welcome you to GLK&H... she just hopes you survive the experience!
Dear listeners, it's long overdue, but the boys have made their way to the law firm of GLK&H to discuss and dissect the latest Marvel Phase 4 TV series on Disney+, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law! From the creative mind of Jessica Gao and the directing talents of Kat Coiro, this entry into Phase 4 of the MCU follows Jessica Walters as she transitions from her life as a mild-mannered lawyer to a reluctant superhero AND mild-mannered lawyer. The boys kick the discussion off with their highlights including the cast, the overall fun of the show, the handling of internet trolls, and a certain devil's walk of pride. After the fun stuff is over, they get to hulk out over the things that missed the mark a bit including the lack of screen time for some of the characters, pacing issues, and some of the real-world reactions to the show overall. From the drawn page to the user interface for Disney+, Jennifer Walters AKA She-Hulk has made quite the impression on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the boys are excited to share their thoughts with you!

There's a chill in the air and we hope you're feeling peckish because pop culture is on the menu! Whether you're looking for the mai tai killer or getting ready for the Guardians of the Galaxy to bring Kevin Bacon to your holiday gathering, there's so much good stuff to chat about, so get ready because as Mariah would say, it's tiiiiime!
Gather round dear listeners because the boys of Flame ON! are back with their first of four brand-new episodes for your listening enjoyment. First up on the docket for this month is a roundup discussion of the boys' favorite pop culture from November. Bryan takes you on a trip to New York for Ryan Murphey's latest season of American Horror Story, AHS:NYC. The regular cast of characters is joined by some new faces (and some new ears) as the train leaves the station, but does it jump off the tracks in true AHS fashion? Only time will tell! Erik takes you to the movies with a spoiler-free conversation about the new film from Mark Mylod, The Menu. The film gets rave reviews, but the boys want to make sure you can go into seeing it as fresh as possible, so don't worry about hearing something you shouldn't! After a brief pause for station identification the boys are back and BeeJay takes the conversation over to Netflix to chat about Wednesday from director Tim Burton. Is it creepy? How about cooky? All together ooky? Our crew seems to think so! Last but not least, Pat rings in the holiday season on Disney+ with James Gunn and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Did a holiday special centered around bringing Kevin Bacon to meet Peter Quill bring a tear to a grown man's eye? You better believe it! Before signing off, the boys also share their 1UPs! It's a fun filled episode and the boys are glad you're sharing it with them!

Where do you go when you fall asleep? Some might say you see the lives you lead in other parallel universes. Some might even say that your nightmares can consume you. Morpheus, The Sandman, AKA the lord of The Dreaming, would tell you that you have entered his domain and that everything that happens there is his!
It's a very special episode of Flame ON! dear listeners, as our hosts have found the gateway to The Dreaming and convened to discuss a topic that is very near and dear to their hearts. Every so often a piece of pop culture arises that our hosts have been waiting for and will devour readily in order to share their opinions and this topic just so happens to be one! Adapting The Sandman, the beloved graphic novel series written by Neil Gaiman and released from January 1989 until March 1996, Netflix always had an extremely difficult task at hand. How do you take a world of such rich imagination and turn it into reality? The answer seemed to be, to throw $165 million dollars into the production! Did this work? What about the casting choices? Some fans seemed to be a bit skeptical about some of the blind casting that was done. Did the choices made by the creative team truly bring these characters to life in the best way possible? Would the surprise drop of an extra episode containing two bottle stories really generate any additional buzz for the show? Would two drag queens who love to watch spoil the surprise that Netflix had for The Sandman fans? Ok, the answer to that is yes - if you caught it in time! Find out what our hosts thought of the show and what they hope to see in the future as you listen in to this episode!

She's got eyes of the bluest skies, the power of Eternity, and all the screaming goats you can handle. The fourth installment of the Thor film franchise has made its way from the theater to your home television, so it's time to emerge from the shadows and protect New Asgard. Whether you are worthy of Mjolnir, as jealous as Stormbreaker, or even if you flicked too hard, this is the podcast for you!
Welcome back fellow Midgard-bound Asgardians! As fall descends across the land, our mighty Warriors Three have assembled at the table of King Valkyrie to discuss, dissect, and disseminate upon the adventures of the one and only Thor. Wait. There's another Thor? Helmed by the wacky and wonderful director Taika Waititi, the fourth installment in the Thor franchise takes the color saturation, jokes, and screaming goats and turns the dial all the way up to 11. To kick off the episode, the boys go around the table and share the parts of the film that really tickled their fancy. From the action, story telling, rear nudity of our star Chris Hemsworth, and the amazing villainy of Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher, to seeing the art of Russell Dauterman come to life on the silver screen, there's a lot to love about this movie. From there, the boys then shift the conversation to the aspects of the film that could have used a bit more tweaking. From needing room for the serious moments to breathe, a more fleshed out story, to less screaming goats (for some of the boys), they don't hold back on sharing their thoughts on how they would improve the movie. Finally, the boys dive into wild conjecture and speculation on where the story could head from here. What was their final take on the movie? Listen in to find out!
