And today is weather forecasts for Thursday, November the 15th 2018.
We're officially one week away from Thanksgiving. So let me tell you what we've got going on today. We've got some patchy rain this morning throughout the keys, partly cloudy with a 20% Chance of precipitation today. And those are just some scattered storms coming through. High today of 83 and a low finally dipping into the 60s. A low of 68 degrees are UV index today is a six out of 10 - that's still moderately high. So make sure you are taking precautions. If you're out, winds today are from the north northwest at 17 miles an hour, and the humidity is 75%.
Sunrise today 6:43am and sunset occurs at 5:38pm, our moonrise is also at 1:06pm. Now today, if you're thinking about getting out on the water. Let's talk a little bit about some of the conditions out there. Visibility still very good at 15 miles. So no matter what storms we have coming through, you still got good visibility, the atmospheric pressure is falling. And it's 30.09 to 29.91, so that will give you a little idea of how far down it goes.
And if you're looking at the water temperature, it's still holding steady right around 80 degrees. It's been that way for a little while there will be some waves that you'll see about 3.6 feet. So three and a half feet, 14% of the waves can be higher than the significant wave height today. And so at this moment, you need to be prepared to have waves of 7.2 feet offshore before heading out on the water today. Now, in our near shore waters whenever they're more shallow, it's probably not going to be that high. But just be aware you could encounter some high seas in the open water today.
The first high tide is 3:29am and the next high tide will be at 4:27pm. The first low tide is at 9:44am. And the next low tide will be at 9:26pm. Today we have 10 hours and 56 minutes of sunshine and our solar transit happens at 12:12pm.
So, if you're looking for some fishing times we've got between 6am and 8am and between 7pm and 9pm whenever you'll have the highest movement with an activity with the fish. If you're looking for overall fishing rating for today. It's going to be a two fish day. So the highest would be a three fish day. So, at least we're not a zero fish day or one fish day going to be about two all day long so you could get out there in between some of the storms and some of the showers that are coming and still have a great day out on the water.
And as we head into the full moon toward the end of the month. Some of that fishing active will increase so no matter what you want to do today. Keep an eye on the skies. Make sure you stay dry and enjoy those low temperatures dipping down below 70 degrees tonight 68 degrees. All in all, it's the perfect day to have a perfect day.
We've got a mix of both clouds and thunderstorms. So gotta keep an eye on what's going on in the skies. The thunderstorms will be continuing and actually increasing slightly in the overnight hours.
But if I were going fishing this week, today would be the day I would choose to go fishing. I would dodge the thunderstorms. Make sure I'm keeping my eye on the sky and have a safe trip. Anyway, we've got some barometric pressure falling today going from 30.15 to 29.97, and then back up again. So we've got lots of activity. With that it looks like we're still on the UV index. We're still right about a six. So it's still pretty strong. It's recommended to use your sunscreen of 30 SPF plus as well as any other tricks you have to stay out of that direct sunlight so you don't have the damage from that.
Our water temperature holding steady 80 degrees. It's been solid 80 degrees for like two weeks now. So we haven't had a lot of fluctuation there. For the tides. today. The high tide and the low low tide is where you want to pay attention to your fishing activity. High Tide will occur at 1:17am, the second high tide at 3:23pm, the first low tide at 8:42am, and the next low tide at 7:59pm.
Today, we have 10 hours and 58 minutes of sunshine. So our solar transit is happening around 12 minutes after noon today, if you're going to go fishing today. And again, watch those skies, Dodge those thunderstorms. Those little pop up showers that you're going to see. But from 6am to 8am, you're going to have some good activity as well as from 6pm to 8pm. Now that 6pm to 8pm is also going to be after dark. So make sure you pay attention to the tides. You have all your safety equipment on your boat. If you're going out and doing some fishing this evening. Our title coefficient today is 35. So it's very low. That's a good thing if you're going to be out on the water. So enjoy that all in all, even with a 40% chance of a thunderstorm. You know what I'm gonna say about today? Yep, it's the perfect day to have a perfect day.
The weather forecast for today Tuesday, November 13 - scattered thunderstorms highs of 86 degrees lows of 78. There's a 60% Chance of precipitation - winds will hold steady 10 miles an hour and the humidity will be at 76%. We also have a chance of rain dropping to 50% through the overnight hours. So going to get a little bit of rain, but again just scattered thunderstorms. The rain might not be conducive to fishing. But we do have some atmospheric pressure on the rise going from 29.97 to 30.06. The UV index will still remain high whenever it's not covered by the clouds in the rain. So make sure you do take some precautions. There are water temperature around the area and the lower keys holding steady about 80 degrees. Even though we've got some thunderstorms rolling through. We have a very calm seas today with the tidal coefficient being 44 which is very very low.
Sunrise today, 6:43 sunset will be at 5:41pm. The first high tide is at 6:42am and the next high tide is at 8:10 pm. The first low tide of the day occurs at 7:42. And the next low tide is at 6:48. All in all, we've got 10 hours and 59 minutes of daylight and sunshine with an occasional partly cloudy or scattered shower rolling in and the solar transit will occur at 12:11pm. So between about five and 7am and five and 7pm today are the times whenever you're going to have the most activity with the fishing when the those tides are switching.
So whatever you end up doing, whether you're inside because of some scattered Thunder showers or you're outside - go out and remember it's the perfect day to have a perfect day.
And a very Happy Monday to everyone! Today in the weather forecast for the Key West and the lower keys area, we have partly cloudy and also partly sunny day we've got a high of 86 degrees a low of 79 degrees. Our chance of precipitation today is only about 10%. And winds are holding steady about 13 miles an hour from the east southeast can have gusts up to about 22. So you do want to stay aware of that. The sunrise today 6:39am, sunset 5:39pm moonrise is that 11:58am our humidity is holding steady at 68% do point is it 73 degrees our visibility today it's a very clear day 15 mile visibility. Even though we're only going to hit about 83 degrees, it's going to feel about 92 with the humidity.
Now we do have some falling atmospheric pressure, which means it could be good for some fishing if you're looking at how that affects your bite. So we've got falling atmospheric pressure all day long from 30.06 down to 29.94. So the majority of the day we're under falling barometric pressure UV index is still very, very strong at a seven. So make sure you're protected a wearing 30 SPF or higher our current water temperature around Key West is still right around 80 degrees. So not much fluctuation with that air temperature is about 80 water temperatures about at our title coefficient for today is only about 53. So that means we don't have a significant difference in the height of the waves. We will have some swells that can reach up to three feet. But our most of the time the waves are going to be anywhere from a half a foot to about a foot and a half. So not significant wave heights predicted all day long. One of the unusual things about today when we look at our tide chart is that we have the first low tide at 6:48am.
And the next low tide is at 5:57pm. But the only high tide of the day will be at 1:22pm.So the solar transit is at 12:11pm. So it's kind of unusual to only have one high tide of the day. And that's going to be at 1:22pm.
Today, is a very low solunar activity day. So it's not predicted to be great fishing. If you believe in the Solunar charts and you go by them for your fishing times - doesn't mean you shouldn't get out and try it. As we get closer to the new moon, at the end of the month, we will be having some of that activity increasing. But right now in the quarter moon and the three quarter moon not a lot of solunar activity going on right now. Doesn't really matter though, because it's going to be a beautiful day anyway. So if you're out on the water. If you're enjoying the sandbar or just enjoying some snorkeling, there should be plenty of activity. All in all, it's a perfect day to have a perfect day.
The Key West weather forecast for today, Friday, November the 9th. We've got isolated thunderstorms in the morning. Lots of sunshine later on in the afternoon. Our high today is going to top out around 85 degrees. But we're really only going to see that in the afternoon. Once the rain clears out in the morning. When that rain is here, it's going to stay in the Upper 70s. Winds are going to be coming from the east around 10 miles an hour. There is a 30% Chance of precipitation again mostly in the morning and it's clearing out by the afternoon 74% humidity. Our UV index for today remains at a seven and that's seven out of possible 10s. So definitely if you're out in the afternoon when it's sunny. When it's clear, please make sure you protect yourself where your sunscreen seek the shade and do all that you can to make sure you're not getting more of those UV rays than you should.
You should have sunrise today 6:37am sunset 5:40pm our moon rises 821 and Moon set 7:30pm if you're wanting to know about fishing for today, because the winds are going to be 10 miles an hour and less, the tides are not that big of a factor, especially in the afternoon. seas are only going to be about a half a foot so you'll be having a pretty good day out on the water might not even have to have any kind of seasick medicine or anything like that if you need to go out shouldn't be too bad. The low tides are at 4:31am and four o'clock pm and the high tide first one is 11:10am. The second one is at 10:26pm. So if you're looking at fishing today because of the atmospheric pressure holding steady right around 29.94 and 30.
It's very, very favorable conditions for catching fish today in the tide switching times is when your best going to have your chance of getting the most bites. So really you're looking at between about 2am and 4am whenever the low tide switches out, and then maybe about 839 o'clock in the morning. And then again, there's a bigger period between about two and 430 in the afternoon, and then a smaller period between eight and nine o'clock in the evening. So those are the times when you're going to have very high fish activity. And like I say, because of those atmospheric pressures, it's favorable conditions all day long. I will tell you that the water temperature remains very steady at 80 degrees right now. So it's still very moderate. Very comfortable for both you and the fish so get in and enjoy it. Especially once the rain clears out. You should have a beautiful afternoon to start out your weekend. And besides that, it's a perfect day to have a perfect day.
And today's weather forecast for Thursday, November the eighth 2018 for the greater Key West area, all of the lower keys and even some of the middle and upper keys from Key West to Key Largo. We've got you covered. So today we've got a 20% chance of rain out there. It's going to be partly cloudy highs of 85 degrees lows of 77. Our sunrise today is 6:37am sunset creeping up it's 5:41pm. Let's talk about some fishing forecast. Essentially, winds today are going to be about nine miles an hour coming from the east. Let's talk about the atmospheric pressure or still going to see it hovering between 29 and 30 all day long. So that's good for fishing activity, you're going to see some fishing activity. Now the UV index is still moderately high, it's a seven so you need to be protected where your sunscreen 30 plus where your sun protection clothing use your sunglasses and other types of things that protect you from the sun. So anything you have to keep you out of the sun and give you a little shade is good seas are going to be basically fairly calm half a foot to foot and a half sees so not very much going on out there. Just know that when you go out, you can expect to get some fish, there's going to be a lot of fishing opportunities between the tide switches. So the first low tide is 3:47am. If you're pulling an all nighter out there, whether you're trying to bully net or whatever you're trying to do 3:47am you're going to be able to catch some fish. And the next low tide is 3:24pm.
Now first high tide is 9:24 am and then the next high tide is at 9:52pm. So really, if you're looking to be fishing between 12:30am and 2:30am, you're gonna have a lot of activity. Also some pretty moderate activity around 8am in the morning. And then whenever that low tide bottoms out about 324, that's whenever you've got another window. So from about 1231 o'clock until about three o'clock, you're going to also have a lot of fishing activity. So you're also going to have a very small window right around the seven to eight o'clock timeframe in the evening. So pay attention to the tides pay attention to that tide switching, that's going to be when you're going to have the highest chances of catching fish. In case you didn't know the saloon or activity is going to be coming to a little bit of a standstill, the strongest saloon or activity, which means the highest impact on the fish and the fish activity occur when there's a full moon or a new moon. And then it's going to be week is when we're getting into to a quarter moon or a three quarter moon. And that's what we're coming up on. So really our fishing window for getting great catches really comes to an end tomorrow on the ninth and after that we're gonna have a little bit of activity on Saturday, but really, it's going to be sparse for the next two weeks. And so you want to get out there, make your catches do what you need to do to fill up your box. Fill up your freezer.
So that's what we've got today. Now don't forget it's the perfect day to have a perfect day go out there and make that happen.
It's Wednesday, November the 7th and let's talk about the weather in the beautiful Florida Keys. Today we have partly cloudy skies, there is a slight chance of rain about 20%. The high temperature is 85 degrees, the low temperature will be 76 degrees wins or from the East, North East, about 10 miles an hour. And our humidity is 71%. So it's going to be kind of humid out there today. But let's talk about what you really want to know about. And that is the sun and the water. So our UV index for today is still a 7. So if you're out make sure you're wearing your sunscreen, make sure you're wearing your hat, make sure you're protected. Stay in the shade as much as possible. Enjoy the light ocean breeze and were plenty of sunscreen. So that's what you've got to do if you're going to be out today. Now let's talk about fishing.
The fishing forecast - today is one of the best days for fishing that we're going to have all week. So Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are just looking great as far as the fishing forecast. Now today sunrise is at 6:38am sunset is it 5:44pm now on our tide charts. The first low tide is it 3:03am and the next low tide is at 2:48pm. The first high tide is it 9:47am and then the next high tide is going to be 9:19am. Now pay attention to that because corresponding with those tides we also have some excellent fishing activity. So from midnight to 2am is a great time when that low time that tide is shifting. Great time for fishing. Also between noon and 2:30pm, we're going to have excellent fishing and then again around 6pm. So those are the times when you're going to have the most fishing activity you possibly can.
So those are great times to make sure you're out on the water and not just feeding the fish but actually catching them too. So it looks like we've got for the next two or three days a very good fishing forecast low wins wins are going to be only 10 miles an hour today, which means that are waves are only going to be a couple of feet out on the seas today. So it'll be pretty calm if you want to get out there and do some fishing so you'll have some great activity around those tied switching. The atmospheric pressure today is still going to be holding a steady around 30. So it's still going to be a really good day for fishing. So if you want to go out looks like it's going to be sunny skies those showers and pop up little clouds that are dropping some rain on us are going to be heading out, steer clear of those. And other than that you should have a great fishing day another day to have a perfect day.
Today is November sixth, 2018. Let's talk about the weather that we have on tap for today, for the beautiful Florida Keys. We've got a partly cloudy sky. So you're going to see some darker Clouds and some lighter Clouds and some big patches of sunshine over your skies. Today, the winds are going to be eight miles an hour. They're coming from the East, North East. high temperature, 85 degrees, low temperature 79 degrees. Now our humidity holding steady at 66% of the dew point is 72 and visibility today is a really, really good about 15 miles. Now if you're planning on fishing today, you know the winds are going to be low. So that might be a good start. But also the atmospheric pressure is 30.03 and it is rising. So that means it's very, very good conditions for fish to be biting today. You know those fish they do crazy things with atmospheric pressure. So today is a very good fishing day. Let's talk about the sun.
You've got some partly cloudy skies that's going to help you a little bit but the UV index is still really really high. It's a 7 so you definitely need protection. Make sure you have your SPF 30 or higher for your sunscreen. Wear your hat, wear your clothing with the ups and also make sure you've got your sunglasses on. So during the mid day that UV index is highest. So make sure you keep yourself protected. Our water temperature right around the keys is holding steady about 80 degrees. So it's it's kind of not quite bath water but it's pretty close.
Now our tides today - they're very small. We only have a maximum wave height of 1.4 feet so you should be good out on the water. First low tide is at 10:16 am and the next low tide is it to 12pm the first high tide 9:01 this morning and the next one will be at 8:46 tonight. So pay attention to those if you're in the more shallow areas. So that's going to help you navigate if you're out on the water today. The only other thing you need to know today is that it's the perfect day to have a perfect day. So get out there and make it happen.
