What about the kids?! I haven't talked much about the kids, children, the babies yet. This is a Generational thing so I gotta include them!
As parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, big cousins, God parents, the good neighbors a.k.a. THE VILLAGE!
It seems nobody is really listening to the kids at times which then causes break downs in communication and trust. I want my kids and any kids that come in contact with me to know they can talk to me!
Working in the school system I was told some stuff that I never wanted to hear come from a child but I was also glad they felt comfortable enough to share their problems, issues, worries, and sometimes jokes with me.
The kids loved me and I loved them! But really ARE we listening or just saying that cliché mess "do as I say and not as I do?!"
