Cs: Často slyšela podobné otázky, ale vždycky skončily prázdnými slovy.
En: She often heard similar questions, but they always ended with empty words.

Cs: Ale něco v Davidově pohledu ji zaujalo.
En: But something in David’s look intrigued her.

Cs: „Samozřejmě,“ odpověděla, snažíc se skrýt svou rezervovanost.
En: “Of course,” she replied, trying to hide her reservation.

    Cs: „Jsem Zuzana.“
    En: “I’m Zuzana.”

Cs: David se sklonil a začal pečlivě zkoumat obrazy.

En: “How did you come to paint like this?”

    Cs: Zuzana se odvážila usmát.

    Cs: Mohu napsat o vás?“

    Cs: Zuzana ztuhla.
    En: Zuzana stiffened.

Cs: „Jste tady jen pro svoji kariéru?
En: “Are you here just for your career?

Cs: Nechci být jen dalším řádkem ve vašem článku.“
En: I don’t want to be just another line in your article.”

    Cs: David si povzdychl.
    En: David sighed.

Cs: „Já... ztratil jsem nadšení pro novinařinu.
En: “I’ve lost my enthusiasm for journalism.

    Cs: Hledal jsem novou inspiraci.
En: I was searching for new inspiration.

Cs: Myslím to s vámi vážně.“

En: “I feel lonely in this world of art.

Cs: Chci, aby lidé pochopili, co moje obrazy znamenají.“
En: I want people to understand what my paintings mean.”

En: Their conversation didn’t end there.

Cs: Čím více společně mluvili, tím více si uvědomovali, že mají hodně společného.
En: The more they talked, the more they realized they had a lot in common.

Cs: David začal pravidelně navštěvovat Zuzanin stánek.

Cs: „Tohle umění je plné života,“ říkal David.
En: “This art is full of life,” David was saying.

Cs: „Není to jen obraz na zdi.
En: “It’s not just a picture on the wall.

    Cs: Je to příběh.“
    En: It’s a story.”

Cs: Zuzana cítila, jak se jí zahřívá srdce.
En: Zuzana felt her heart warm.
