Focused Fire Chat, a Destiny Lore Podcast

Episode 52 brings Blue, Justin, and Mel together to discuss the information that we have available to us from within the Grimoire (and a previous ARG that Bungie had) concerning the mysterious Alpha Lupi. The question of who (or, as the group discusses, what) Alpha Lupi is one that is somewhat of a popular subject of discussion in particular areas of the Destiny lore community - and for good reason. The enigma is one that, even after the years of playing and exploring in game, still remains an unknown variable within the game.

Episode 51 brings Blue and Justin back together to chat about the age before the Collapse, before the Dark Age, and the battles of the City Age - the Golden Age. The time of amazing developments, breathtaking advances in science and technology that led to Humanity rising from the Earth to explore the universe around them. While not perfect, this time period saw impressive leaps forward in everything from robotics to a more advanced understanding of the basic tenants of the types of matter which made up our world. Explore the advancements that we know of through the Grimoire with us and enjoy some tangents on the nature of a few of the ramifications that such things could have created within the society which saw them occur.

Episode 50 brings Blue, Justin, Mel, and special returning guest co-host BelleBunny together to discuss everyone's favorite rogue, the Hunger Vanguard Mentor, Cayde-6. As is expected, there's a good amount of jokes and one-liners to be had here...as well as a great look at the currently known timeline of Cayde's story and the (possibly embellished) stories of his exploits as a Guardian. Be sure to stick around for the whole show to make sure you get all the laughter you can - Justin might have an Ace of Spades up his sleeve and we wouldn't want you to miss it.

This special episode brings Blue, Justin, and returning special guest co-host, My Name is Byf to hopefully flesh out some of the story of Destiny leading into the story of the newest addition to the game, the Rise of Iron DLC, releasing in a few days on September 20th, 2016. While definitely not meant to be an all encompassing (or at times, super serious) - the information is meant to give you a bit of a stronger foundation from which to build the new information expected to arrive with RoI.

Episode 49 brings Blue, Justin, and Mel together to discuss the various arenas that players throughout the Destiny universe do battle with one another in. There are some truly amazing nuggets of lore hidden within the cards dealing with the many different arenas that we currently have access to - and the upcoming capability to freely explore these areas is something that the team, regardless of the console of choice, is exited to experience. There might also be a bit of a ranting theory by Blue near the end concerning the historical ties with the Crucible and Iron Banner to the gladiatorial games of Rome.

Episode 48 (our sixth installment in the Extra Lore series) brings together Blue, Justin, Willy, and special guest co-host Racharizard (a.k.a., Rachael) to chat about the basic information one needs to have before starting their adventure in the wild world of Pokémon. It also makes the point that Blue can't count the number of episodes that he's on...so forgive him for that. Prepare yourself for an episode of laughter and some odd observations on the nature of the Pokémon world and culture - mostly from Blue and Willy.

Episode 47 brings Blue, Justin, Mel, Willy, and returning guest co-host Damo together to discuss the logic of those terrifying Hive and their Throne Worlds, the Logic of the Sword. A dark and twisted view of the way of the universe, this underlying philosophy of the Hive culture is something of a misnomer in that it isn't just restricted to blades - though it definitely prefers the close quarter kills that such weapons provide to the wielder. Join the group as they walk through the available Grimoire cards pertaining to Sword Logic and search for a method to the madness described by Toland and others.

Episode 46 brings Blue, Justin, Willy, and returning guest co-host Mel (WindoftheStars) to chat about those enigmatic characters out in the deep unknown, the Awoken. While there are a number of Grimoire entries pertaining to individuals within the culture of the Awoken, the information as a whole doesn't give us much to work with - as would be expected for a race who are raised in mystery and secret. These elusive figures dance along the razor's edge between the Light and the Dark - and thrive in the shadows of the unknown...exploring those secrets is not unlike decrypting a stubborn engram. And hopefully, when that decryption has been completed, we'll find ourselves with yet another piece of the puzzle that is Destiny in our hands.

Epsiode 45 brings Blue, Justin, and Willy together to discuss the lore surrounding the most recent raid within Destiny - the King's Fall raid. The story of our overthrowing the pinnacle of the Taken power is one which contains a fair amount of lore, to say the least, so be sure to settle in for a good reading of Toland and Oryx commentary on the Guardians who challenge the throne (and the surprises that lie in store for those who expect a specific outcome before our fireteam takes the Taken King on).
