See Them for Who They Are
One of Michelle's themes in this episode is seeing people for who they are. We all judge, and this human flaw sometimes keeps us from seeing people as their true selves. It takes a concentrated effort to accept flaws and virtues for each person you encounter but when you do, it can be liberating! If we connect this with faith in your workplace, knowing people (even their flaws and strengths) can be a great tool for how you pray, help, and acknowledge them on a day to day basis. This comes full circle, however, and knowing yourself is one of the most important things we can do as Christ-followers in this world. So, do you know yourself? Your strengths and weaknesses? How do you manage someone else's flaws? These are questions we need to ask ourselves as we plan to integrate our faith at work.
What is Holding You Back?
Integrating your faith at work can be a difficult task. It is not as easy for some of us as it is for others, but why? Michelle says to start at the root of the problem. What exactly is holding you back from taking action? Is it fear? Procrastination? Self-hate? To be a missionary at your workplace we must first understand ourselves and how we operate. Maybe it is a fear of what others might think of you after letting them inside your faith. Whatever the case, once you understand the problem you can then begin to build a solution. Here at Follower of One, we want to give you all the tools necessary to build a better relationship with not only God but all of your coworkers, and our Mission Trip will help you do just that. Are you asking yourself any of the above questions? If so, contact us, reach out to us and we will help you!

Do you think about all God knows and controls? Do you ever reflect on his power and his strength? Do you let yourself imagine God, and how powerful and wonderful, and truly worthy of awe that he is? Take a minute today and think about God. Imagine his power that spoke everything into existence. He maintains it, too. He knows every star and none of them are missing. What difference does that make to you at work or wherever you are today? God knows our situation and has "good deeds" for us to do today. Look for God and then look for the deeds. You will find both.
Thank you for taking action. I would add two introductory sentences to this. This passage was originally written by Paul to Colossian Christian slaves. Today's equivalent would be an employee. If we, as employees do wrong to someone else, we will receive that wrong. There are rewards for doing well, but there are consequences for doing wrong. And God is not partial at all. Can you put yourself in the position as an objective judge of your own work product? Do you know where you cut corners, or take shortcuts? It will matter.
