    Episode Breakdown

    01:05 - Meet Kejal Shah

    5:30 - Kejal's First Job Experience

17:20 - How Kejal's faith impacts his work

    22:43 - Kejal's career coaching company

33:20 - Kejal's Thoughts on Moving Forward with God

    Cherishing Value with God

How do you cherish your value with God? Are you using every interaction with someone as an exclamation of your faith? We know that every opportunity is important but it becomes easy to forget how we impact the lives of others daily. Kejal takes a unique approach to building value for every person he speaks with and in turn values those relationships over money. So, what are your reasons for being in your profession? Is it the money? Is it God? These are important questions to ask yourself. We want to bring God into our actions and stay focused on why we do something rather than the result.

    Praying for Your Co-workers

If you have taken the Marketplace Mission Trip, you know one of the main steps is praying for your co-workers. Kejal's point of view is the same! He mentions in this episode how one simple question can bring new value to any situation. Are you praying for your co-workers? Have you asked them if you can pray for them? It might be a sensitive subject but Kejal knows it's necessary because that is what being a missionary in your work means. Take time to reflect on some of the actions you have taken in your workplace recently!

    Fear

One of Kejal's favorite authors is John MacArthur. John says "Fear is the result of doubting or mistrusting God". This hit home for Kejal and us here at Follower of One. Fear is something we deal with every day, even when we talk about praying for our co-workers. Have you not asked because of fear of how someone might react? Whose approval are you seeking? We need to focus on seeking approval from God and not from numbers. Let the fear slip away as you trust God in your goals and ambitions. We don't know all the answers but God does, so trust him in the process!

  • What is Soul Work? - Colossians 3:23
How do we do our work heartily? Another slight twist on the idea of a pure heart is this word translated heartily. Do you phone it in from time to time? Your best work is part of you - it's who you are. When we do poor quality work, we judge God's plan for our life. He chose to put us where we are today. Does God have you in a place you'd rather not be? Can we trust God and bring our whole heart? Let's trust God and bring our soul and our heart to work!

  • Bring a Sincere Heart to Your Work - Colossians 3:22
What does it mean to have a sincere heart at work? This is different than yesterday's episode about a pure heart. Today Paul challenges the Colossian slaves to serve their earthly masters with an undivided heart. Mike talks about how you can bring an undivided or sincere and generous heart to work today and how your actions will glorify God.

  • A Goal for Your Faith at Work - 1 Timothy 1:5
What does it mean to have a pure heart or a sincere faith? Paul tells Timothy in his first letter that the goal is to have a pure heart, clear conscience, and a sincere faith. Everything we do, we do as an exercise in faith in God. Our actions and the way we handle things reflect our faith to others. Do you go through your daily work activities with a pure heart?

  • Where is Your Focus? - Romans 8:4-5
What do you focus on? Do you focus on your tasks and your deadlines? Or do you focus on Friday and the weekend? Are you locked in on the next trip to the lake or the next time away from the office? Romans 8:4-5 is a challenge from Paul to remind us to keep seeking God and to do it more than once a week or twice a month when we go to church. Let's set our mind on the Spirit and watch him work.

  • Bonus Episode - Who Can Stand Against Us?
In our circumstances today, do you feel confident? Do you trust God in our pandemic? Can you relax in God? Can you invest your spare time encouraging others? If we allow our circumstances to take us out of ministry to our friends or our coworkers, we demonstrate our fear and we expose our own lack of trust. Rest in God and remember nothing can stand against us!

  • Struggle with Self-Condemnation - Romans 8:1
Do you believe there is no condemnation? Mike talks about how he criticizes himself. He battles with negative self talk. Today, let's enjoy the salvation God has provided to us? We're free to screw up. Let that sink in. Mike needed a reminder today, so we can all remember that Jesus paid for our tendency to follow our flesh. In Christ, we're free. Enjoy it and live accordingly.

  • Bonus Episode - Conformed to the Image of Jesus
God chose us and he has predestined us to become conformed to the image of Jesus. Mike ponders how to think about our circumstances and this pandemic as one of the ways God conforms us. What other things are happening in your life? Do you often think of how God is conforming you to the image of Christ?

In this week's episode of the Follower of One Podcast, Mike speaks with Jeremie Kubicek. Jeremie is an entrepreneur, Co-Founder, and CEO of GiANT. GiANT is a global leadership platform focused on raising liberating leaders in every major sector in the world. Mike and Jeremie discuss several interesting topics in this episode so we are very excited to share with you!

    8:25 - Idea of 100X Leader Book

    22:45 - Jesus the Liberator

    Being a Sherpa:

Sherpa. What does being a sherpa mean? During this week's episode, Jeremie and Mike talk about the overarching theme of what GiANT is all about and you guessed it - sherpa! Being a sherpa is simple but not simplistic. We want to act as a sherpa and this means that we help others climb to the same peak we climb. Being a sherpa is about not only being the best in our field and doing it well but also lifting others around us and giving them all the necessary skills, tools, and ambitions to climb with us! We are all in this together and just like our walk of faith, we must build up others around us and not just ourselves.

    Are you a Liberator?:

Are you a liberator? What does a liberator do exactly? When we think about Jesus, he liberated all of his disciples and taught them what he can do not only while he was on earth but what he could do when he becomes a part of you. So, how can you be a liberator? First, we must focus on our patterns and use them to our advantage. There is a specific section of this podcast (22:45) where Jeremie breaks this down and it opened our eyes to see that He is multiplying himself within us!

    How does God see you?:

Have you ever wondered how God sees you? Does he see you as a sinner? A Saint, a Son, a daughter? We encourage you to ask yourself these questions moving forward. Even in this very episode, Jeremie talks about how God sees all of us and what it means. Treating yourself with respect and knowing that God has called you to spread his word is something we all should believe - and in turn, believe in ourselves!

  • Trust Christ with Your Story - Romans 7:21-23

Even the Apostle Paul said that his flesh struggled with sin. He said the law of sin was present in his body. When we feel disqualified to represent Jesus, we're partly right, our flesh is never qualified. Our flesh is separated from Christ. But our spirit and our mind know what we want to do. We know who we follow. Our life is a struggle to trust Jesus and do what He says. Remember to think about what you believe so you're prepared to share with anyone who asks. Your faith story and your relationship with Jesus matters.
