We're wrapping up another Marketplace Mission Trip as I record this. We're about to start another one in less than 2 weeks. One friend on the trip felt that God was calling him to speak up in some way about his faith with a coworker. They weren't close, except for this week. They're consultants flown in to work on this project this week. At the very end, after praying all week, our brother got the nerve to offer something to the agnostic coworker. This bracelet was one of the gospel bracelets where each color represents a different facet of our faith. But he shared it without explanation. Then, the other person asked and he was given the chance to explain it. God prompted the other person to ask. We don't have to be qualified. We have to be prepared.
This verse is one I come back to again and again, but in a way, it goes with yesterday's passage too. I don't think it's any accident that Psalm 126 and 127 are in this order. Yes, God can and does bless us and provide for us even in our sleep. Many times and in many ways, we experience his blessings without much effort at all. God is working His plan. Our fretting and anxiety won't add anything. God's provision is our greatest need. Pursue an eternal impact from your work and join God. He will ultimately succeed. Be faithful and watch God work.
What do we value most? Jesus helps us get to the core of our issues. Where is your heart? What do you spend your time thinking about? How do you spend most of your time? Where do your energy and your money go? As a marketplace minister, we make our relationship to God primary, even in our work environment and our treasure becomes heaven. We treasure our relationship with God. Colossians 3 tells us to set our minds on things above. When we can train our minds to focus on God's will, even in our work, we lay up treasure in heaven.

Fighting Through Loss:
Loss of a family member, friend or loved one is always a very difficult road to navigate. Whether you have experienced this early or late in life, it affects us all the same. How are we supposed to act when something like this happens? What is God's plan in all of this? How do we begin the healing process? These are all questions we ask ourselves in the aftermath of an event like this. But having hope in humanity, having faith in your God, having friends beside you, and having someone to turn to will always be important. As we go through this very unprecedented time in the world, we urge you to keep your mind focused on the most important things in life! Laurenda can relate, and she speaks to how God and her faith were able to get her through some of her most difficult times.
Connecting WIth Someone Else:
We, as followers, are supposed to be the gleaming light of God throughout our world. We are not meant to keep this to ourselves and we want to spread the word far and wide, right? So connecting with other people is the only natural way to do this! Connecting with someone else is one of the most important things that came from the Marketplace Mission Trip for Laurenda. Not only was she able to share a great experience with other people by taking the Mission Trip but she was also able to personally connect with someone going through something she had gone through. In this episode, we hear a first-hand account of how powerful one phone call, one outreach, and one community can connect people thousands of miles away and bring them together in a way that may have never happened.

Paul acknowledges the Philippians have obeyed God, and we have too. But our response to Christ's work on the cross goes beyond doing what we're told. Paul challenged the Philippians and he challenges us to turn pro. Don't just obey, work out your salvation. Christ initiated our salvation. We initiate the work God has given us. Let's not wait to be told what to do, but let's take the initiative. It's like Paul is saying, you have obeyed, but now it's time to turn pro. Become a worker with a purpose, a professional, full-time. Paul encourages us to be like God who is working too.
