  • God in Creation
This sermon explores Psalm 104 as a testament to the greatness, wisdom, and goodness of God revealed through His creation. The central message argues that the physical world acts as a reflection of God's character, with the heavens displaying His glory and the earth demonstrating His sustaining power. The exposition highlights how God's stability is seen in the permanence of the earth, while His wisdom is evident in the provision of homes, water, and food for all creatures. The tone is instructional and pastoral, encouraging believers to move beyond passive observation to active reverence. The sermon concludes with a call to regularly study the natural world as a means to deepen one's joy and praise for the Creator.

  • Learning is for Living
True discipleship is defined not merely by academic study of Scripture, but by the active obedience to Christ's teachings. It challenges the listener to move beyond being spiritual infants who consume milk to becoming mature students who eat solid food. Ultimately, the goal of this learning process is to be fully trained to become like the Master, Jesus Christ.

  • On Christian Freedom
This passage calls believers to pursue peace and mutual edification, refusing to become a stumbling block to weaker brothers. Christian freedom must be governed by love, not self-assertion, because the kingdom of God is not about food and drink but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. The mature disciple gladly surrenders lawful rights for the good of others and the glory of Christ.

  • How to Outthink the Mockers - 2 Peter 3:3-4
You can have all the right answers for defending Christianity and still be shaken by someone who mocks your faith. Why is ridicule so powerful, even when you know your beliefs are true? In this message, we'll look at how to develop the kind of spiritual confidence that can stand firm even when others make you feel like a fool for following Christ. My sermons are the fruit of nearly 30 years of pastoral ministry, biblical counseling, formal seminary training, and a lifelong passion for God's Word. Since childhood, I've been drawn to the beauty and power of expository preaching—opening Scripture verse by verse and applying it to real life. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute, I spent the next 27 years serving as a youth pastor, senior pastor, church planter, and host of the Food For Your Soul radio broadcast. Along the way, I also earned a Master of Sacred Literature and a Doctor of Religious Studies. For more content from D. Richard Ferguson, visit TreasuringGod.com. • 13 - The Final Judgment on the Northern Kingdom – Part 2 [B]
What does Amos 8 teach about God's judgment on Israel and the consequences of rejecting His Word? In the fourth vision of Amos, the basket of summer fruit illustrates that the Northern Kingdom had become overripe for judgment and its time had run out. Despite repeated opportunities to respond to God's grace, the people continued in their idolatry, greed, and rejection of the Mosaic Law. Their dishonest business practices exploited the poor, while their desire for wealth took precedence over worshiping God. As a result, God announced the coming destruction of Israel and a famine, not of food or water, but of hearing the Word of the Lord. The coming Assyrian conquest would bring destruction, mourning, and a famine of hearing the Word of the Lord. This passage reminds us that God judges according to His righteous standards, and persistent rejection of divine revelation brings devastating spiritual consequences.
