Nelly Baron Communications for SIAL network talked to Claire Phoenix about this year’s SIAL 2016 – the largest food and beverage show in the world.
The SIAL global event company has seen growth in Canada (Montreal), China and the Middle East and is always looking for more sites but only where food distribution is growing i.e a middle class population with spending power and a desire for diverse food.
Indonesia is looking likely as the next SIAL event but not the Philippines. Singapore is already the main food supplier hub and has the biggest shows in the world.
In all, 160,000 visitors are expected to view the over 7000 exhibitors (including a food processing machinery section) plus 120 delegate food ministers from around the world.
