Jenny can’t sleep. With her parents divorced, worries keep piling up—about arguments, school, moving, and even Butterscotch slipping out into the night. In Sabbath School, the Shoebox Kids talk about Hannah’s prayer and make a list of worries they can hand to Jesus. Jenny finally shares what’s been weighing on her heart, and Mrs. Shue gives her a simple challenge for bedtime.

That night, in the almost-dark, Jenny hears a scratch at the door… and she has to decide what to do next.
