This week we're sitting down with Paige Anderson, Executive Director of the Deschutes Estuary Restoration Team (DERT). DERT is an advocacy group whose main focus is restoring the Deschutes Estuary right here in Olympia. Paige educated us on what an estuary is and what a healthy estuary really looks like. You'll be shocked to hear all the pollutant sources that trickle into the Deschutes watershed but don't worry there's plenty you can do to help! There is so many ways that you can get involved in the restoration of the Deschutes Estuary including kayak trips to learn more hands-on!
For Folks' Sake is so appreciative of Paige and her time. There was so much to learn and we excited to share this episode with the entire FFS community!
