This week the For Folks' Sake family is joined by Gio Martinez, the Owner of Violent Delights Tattoo in Tacoma, WA. His designs are known for being bold, custom and beautiful pieces made individually for each person that walks into the shop.

Gio’s journey starts with spending time doing some illicit activity and deciding to change his life and become a Ranger. Once he was finished with his time in the Army he dove into the tattoo world and found his passion within the tradition of tattooing.  

I am so beyond appreciative of Gio and his time. Its not often that you meet someone as genuine and passionate as him and I feel honored to have this episode in my catalog.

This week we are joined by Dr. Mo to talk everything substance use and recovery. Mo uses her academic background and lived experience to educate on the stigma of substance use and how to dive into recovery.

Dr. Mo is currently a professor at the University of South Dakota in vermillion. She has her bachelors and masters in addiction studies and also as PHD in Counseling and Psychology in Education. She’s completed multiple research projects ranging from college substance use to sex trafficking.

With a recent 27th birthday, there's new emotions and realizations that must be discussed. Francesca is the Founder and Owner of TeaseCakes by Francesca where she offers the most delicious, mini cheesecakes. She saw major success in 2022 while she took the world by storm clocking in major vendor spots, catering the hottest events and making herself a regular feature at many local coffee shops. 

During our conversation we dove into her role outside of work, being a stepmom. We discuss the importance of allowing children to become their own people and some possible challenges that may arise from raising children in a bigger area.

This week we are welcoming Shaen to the FFS family!

Shaen is a fitness coach, mama and content creator. After having her baby boy, she was ready to get back into the gym and make it count. Shaen helps other realize their potential and shares her struggles of self love after having a baby. She walked me through her mindset with discipline v. motivation and it changed my entire perspective!

We had a great conversation about the work that goes into breaking generational curses, finding healthy eating patterns and how she deals with hate in and outside the gym. Shaen also gave us the inside scoop on the toxicity of the tattoo industry and it is WILD.
