In this episode, James is joined by Dima Hendricks. Dima is a survivor of sickle cell disease, a terrible illness that targets people of color almost exclusively. She isn't just a survivor though; she is a warrior who has been crowned Ms. Black Dorchester, Ms. Black Massachusetts, and Mrs. Massachusetts International. In addition to these accomplishments, she has been involved in a number of campaigns and groups advocating for health and wellness. Tune in as she and James discuss sickle cell disease and the importance of bringing greater awareness to it.
