Now let me tell you about my hair. It had turned into something like a cross between a wannabe afro and a frizzy football helmet. I was trying a new technique but it wasn’t working out, so now I was left with a very bad and very visible hair experiment. This sounds trivial, I know, but I’m going somewhere with purpose. You see, I knew that whoever was going to tame my hair that day was also going to be invited to have a Gospel conversation. I had it all planned out how to segue the conversation from hair repair to life transformation.

The hairstylist was so friendly, it was like sitting down in the chair of a sister friend. Instant bonds don’t always happen, but it did this time and I knew that it was not a coincidence; it was a GOD incidence. What I didn’t know was this: the hairstylist was a Christian and she was aiming to minister to me, too!

Has that ever happened to you before? Have you had someone invite you to church, or begin to share the Gospel with you while you were hoping to do the same with them? I love when that happens, and it usually results in rejoicing on both sides. Well, that’s what happened in the hair chair. The stylist is a born-again, Bible believing Scripture quoting God loving Christian, and unashamed. We had a great conversation about ministry and life in general as she worked the literal kinks out of my hair.

The more she talked, the more I learned. This episode shares three takeaways I learned while in the hair chair.
