Welcome to this week's episode of #ForWhatitsWorthwithBlakeMelnick. This is part two of my interview with #TomLocke, author of a fantastic new book called #MomentsinTime, an interactive musical Odyssey that traces the history of rock and roll from the forties, right through to the end of the seventies.
In our last episode, Tom discussed his career, his early influences and what inspired his love of music. In this episode, the focus of our discussion is on the book itself. What led Tom to finally write and publish moments in time.
And Tom shares some stories about his journey and the people he met along the way. He also provides some Sage advice to those who have ever entertained the idea of publishing their own book ....for what it's worth.

Welcome this week's episode of #TheSpaceinbetween, another rock 'n roll memory from #TomLocke 's new book, #MomentsinTime.
The time is 1968. Today's featured artist was born in British Guyana and moved to London in 1960. He formed a Jamaican / British rock/reggae quartet and had a massive hit in 1983 with #ElectricAvenue which made it to #2 on the UK and US pop charts.
He had another hit years before that back in 1968 with #BabyComeBack. The song reached #3 on the charts and was later recorded by Bonnie Raitt and UB40. He was nominated for a Grammy in 1988 for his anti-apartheid song, #GimmeHopeJo'anna .... An astute businessman who founded #IceRecords and built the #BlueWaveStudioComplex. He is of course the amazing #EddyGrant ...For What it's Worth
make sure you tune in for next week's interview with guest #TomLocke as we discuss his fantastic new book, #MomentsinTime, #MIT

Welcome to this week's episode of #Thespaceinbetween I'm your host #BlakeMelnick, and I'm really excited to announce that in a few weeks time, we will have #TomLocke author of a new book called #MomentsinTime - stories about artists and songs from the fifties, sixties, and seventies, on our show.
In #MomentsinTime, Tom will take us on a musical journey through the history of Rock n' Roll. What's really cool about Tom's book is music is embedded within the text of the book itself through the use of QR codes. So you can listen to the songs while reading the book. Tom has graciously allowed us to reproduce some of his moments in time on the space in between, and to make available a limited number of signed copies of his book for you, our listeners at a special price.
Here's a taste of what to expect on future episodes of this space in between a moment in time from Tom's book called #ClearasMud... for what it's worth.

Welcome to this week's episode of #IntheCompanyofReadersandWriters and Chapter 1 of #TheOldGuitar.
Today's episode was inspired by the short story, old guitar written and read by Canadian singer-songwriter, Douglas Cameron.
Some say guitars remember. The wood retains the memory of every note, of every song that is played through them. The older the guitar, the richer the memories, which is why they need to be treasured and savoured, as they are the embodiment of every musician that has ever played them.

Welcome to this week's episode of #ForWhatitsWorthwithBlakeMelnick and the launch of our new series called #IntheCompanyofReaders&Writers.
We are really jazzed about this series cause who doesn't love a good story?
Over the past number of months we have been collecting some great ones and we are excited to be able to share them with you in some really creative ways.
We have decided to adopt the "Dickens" approach to publishing stories using a serial format, where each instalment is a chapter.
As with a novel, this episode is the "Introduction" ( by yours truly) to our first featured work called "The Old Guitar"
For those of you that didn't have the chance to listen to our Season 3 Trailer, we will be having well known personalities join us to read and dramatize some of the stories and we will be introducing you to a host of new emerging writers... and of course we have a "new monkey" for the series ...For What it's Worth
