Thank you all for coming back to another Podcast episode.

In today's society, we are being told to look down on the simple things, the things are others see as being insignificant. When it comes to the cross and salvation, it is the simple things that the Lord uses. People often want to explain away what Jesus did on the cross thousands of years ago. They think that salvation cannot be so simple. Instead of trying to explain away what the Bible tells us, let us accept it because God's Word is truth. Let us stop using our human wisdom and accept the wisdom of God when it comes to our salvation and eternity.
Scripture is simple, it is we who want to over-complicate things by adding more to it. If we believe in our hearts and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord then we will be saved (Romans 10:9). Let us confess and believe the Word of God.
If you feel like a prodigal then trust and believe that you can always come back home to the loving arms of the Father. Be obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and come back to the Lord.

In this world, we see the spirit of jealousy rampant everywhere around us. People want what others have instead of working hard to acquire these items.
When we read the Scriptures, we see what happens to those who became jealous of others. We read the account of Cain and Abel. Abel was so jealous of his brother that he resorted to murder. Joseph's brother were jealous of him that they wanted to kill him but then sold him into slavery.
When the spirit of jealousy is crouching, let us not allow it to be our master, but instead with the help of the Holy Spirit, let us rule over jealousy.

In the world around us, all we hear is news that can be distressing at times. If we pay too much attention to this, we will focus more on the problems instead of focusing on God. We take our eyes off God and place the spotlight on the problems that we are facing. God is inviting us to come to Him so He can ease our burdens and give us His perfect peace.

Let us not behave like the unbelievers and worry about things that are out of our control. Let us instead, place all our cares and anxieties in the hands of the Lord because He cares for us.

Thank you for listening to another Podcast in the series. In this episode, I will be speaking about forsaking everything and everyone in order to follow Jesus Christ. This decision is often the most difficult to do because we may feel as though we will be missing out on our friends, etc. However, when we have made this decision, although it can sometimes feel lonely, we are becoming a part of a wider family and this is the family of God.

According to the Scriptures, wherever our heart is this is where our treasure is also. Instead of storing our treasure on earth, let us store it in heaven where no one can take it away from us.
The Lord Jesus wants for all of us to come to Him and accept His free give of salvation. Don't be fooled by the temporary things of this world which will all have to go one day. Instead let us look to the things that are eternal.

In life, we believe that we know what is totally and completely best for us. We often fail to go to the Lord and ask Him for direction and when this do not go according to our plans, we become depressed. All this heartache could have been avoided if we went to the Lord first. After all, He is the one who created us, therefore, He knows what is best for us. Instead of believing that we are in control of our own lives, let us first seek wise counsel from the Lord who is ready to guide us down the right path.

As humans our reaction is normally to run away and hide when our sin has been revealed. Instead of owning up to what we have done, we often want to make excuses as to why we have done wrong. God is calling us to flee from this and confess and repent when we have done wrong, when we have sinned against Him.
We may think that there are no consequences for sin, but as we read in the scripture, there are always consequences. Because we serve a holy and righteous God, no sin will go unpunished. Let us receive His forgiveness and confess when we have done wrong. He tells us in the Scriptures that if we confess our sins, He will forgive us because He is merciful.

Scripture tells us that if do not forgive then the Lord will not forgive us either. We all so need the forgiveness from the Lord Jesus Christ every single day. Instead of holding unto past hurts, give it to the Lord who will and can heal your broken heart.

There are times in our lives when we are feeling the pressure of this life and we feel as though we want to stop doing everything, we feel as though that no matter what we try, we are not making progress. Instead of backing down, we need to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ so that He can and will give us His peace to push on through and persevere.
We may feel that everything that we are doing, nothing will come from it. This is a lie because the Lord tells us Jeremiah 29:11 that He knows the plans He has for us. Keep moving and pushing through even when it seems as though nothing is happening. We serve a God who is faithful and He will never let us be put to shame. Keep trusting in the Lord and one day, you will see the fruits of your labour.

Often times, we feel alone as if no one cares, but God does care. At times we may believe that He has forgotten us but He will never forget us. Not only will He not forget us, but He will never leave us nor forsake us. We have to trust the Lord and persevere even when it seems though. The Lord will show up at the right time.
