In a recent candid interview in his home country Brazil, Nottingham
Forest defender Murillo opened up about his aspirations to advance his
career, expressing a desire to eventually move to a bigger club. The
young talent did not shy away from naming Manchester City, Liverpool,
and Arsenal as his dream destinations.
Murillo said "I had the dream of playing in the Premier League and I had
that thought," he revealed. "I thought: “I’ll go to Nottingham Forest,
have a good year and then I’ll go to a big club”. I had that in my
head." Murillo went on to talk about his potential destinations, “I’d
choose Manchester City, but it would be more difficult for me to be a
regular starter given the players they have in their squad. There’s
City, Arsenal as well, who are fighting for the Premier League title,”
he stated. The allure of playing for a title-contending team like
Arsenal, coupled with their need for defensive solidity, makes the
Gunners an appealing choice. “I wouldn’t discard Liverpool either; it
would be a good opportunity for me to show my football in a big club,”
This revelation comes just a year after Murillo joined Forest, raising
concerns among fans about his long-term commitment to the club. Forest
supporters may feel a mix of pride in Murillo's ambition and unease
about the potential loss of a key player who has quickly become an
integral part of the team.
