Welcome to this week's episode of The Thrive For[e]ward podcast. We are actually bringing you back to our live broadcasts from October 30th.
It's a fun episode because yours truly is not the only host. I invite my dear friend Giselle Ugarte to interview me about why I am so passionate about live events, podcasting, and why it's so critical to our financial industry.
What does a healthy relationship with money look like?
Are there good days?
Are there bad days?
What does "dating your money" mean?
What are the questions you should be asking when searching for a partner in your financial picture?
How does wealth impact women?
And I have details to the kick off of Wealth Circles that we launch in January.
So my friends, stay tuned, share with a friend, and thank you for listening to this live recording of the Thrive For[e]ward Podcast.

We are doing something fun and different today by sprinkling in a little bit of holiday cheer. We are welcoming my friend Amy Seeman, a local stylist here in the Twin Cities. Amy will have some great ideas on what to wear and what to give as we head into holiday party season. So tune into today's episode, and make sure to share, so we can eliminate some of the things that we have to think about and really get back to what fun about the holiday season.

On the last Thrive For[e]ward Podcast, we talked about gifting, as in giving a physical gift which comes with overspending.
In this episode, we're going to talk about giving a gift of monetary value and the smartest way to give to charities and give to families at the end of the year.
This is the time of year I get so many questions about giving from my clients, so if you, or someone you know, is in the thought process of wanting to give, whether it be a monetary gift to a family member, children, or grandchildren, what is the best avenue to give those gifts?
What limits do you have?
And then if you're going to give to a charity, what are your options?
What does that look like?
As always we love when you share our content so that more individuals can learn and feel empowered from a financial space.
The website mentioned in this episode:
CharityNavigator.org
Shows how much of your donation goes towards the charity's cause

In today's episode, we are going to talk about holiday spending and credit card debt.
Have you ever found yourself over-swiping this time of year because you don't want to attend that holiday party without a hostess gift or your kids to have a full Christmas tree of presents?
Or do you attend family get-togethers and have to buy every single family member I gift?
Well, my friends, I want you to understand a little bit better about how to go into this holiday season when it comes to spending.
And if you say to me, Shannon, well, I've already got all of those Steals and Deals throughout the year because I do all of my holiday shopping throughout the year, well my friend, I think you can still gain some insight as we move forward into this holiday season.

We are rounding out our sustainable investment series by talking about a couple of key topics on how you can transition into a sustainable investment lifestyle.
How to own sustainability in your life.
We know that truly living sustainably isn't just about doing one thing, but it is about making a change in our overall lifestyle.
And by no means in today's episode, am I asking you to do every single thing that we talk about. Maybe just pick one thing.
So how do you do that in a giving strategy? How do you do that in a volunteering strategy?s And how do you do that when you make a simple trip to the grocery store?
I have some advice and free resources to help you decide if the businesses you frequent align with your values.
And, I also admit my weaknesses. I'm not perfect, and I'm not asking you to be, either. But we can all make a difference, and that's what we will talk about now.

We are continuing our series on sustainable investing. We have so far talked about proxy voting and impact bonds. And today we're going to talk a little bit about investing for the future.
What does that mean?
Well, that means we're welcoming one of my dear partners, Emily Lee from Impax Asset Managers. She is the Vice President of Business Development and a key partner that I utilize in my investment management when it comes to sustainability for my clients. Impax has been around for 50 years, so they're not new to this game, and neither is Emily. We're going to talk focusing on where we are right now and the growing popularity of sustainable investing, what impact women and future generations have on sustainable investing, and then what you, as the end investor, can really make an impact on. So I hope that you'll tune into today's episode and share this free educational resource, as well. Sharing doesn't cost you anything but it us to spread even more education and awareness.

We are into our Sustainable Investment series and how to make an impact with your wealth.
Today we are going to specifically talk about how you are an owner and how do you make an impact within your portfolio.
What are some cool things as an owner, what does your vote really count for, how do you make income, and how do you know that you haven't delegated something that you aren't even aware of?
What are those elements of checks and balances that you need to understand as an owner or an investor in this space.
So if you're curious about this topic, continue to listen. And if you know someone that might also be interested in this topic, well share it, we would love to have increased listeners and access to the free educational tools that we offer.

I'm rounding out our series on caregiving and the Alzheimer's journey for September, and I thought there is no better way than to talk about some things that we can do in our own lives to stay healthy both physically and mentally. Now, I'll caveat this with that I am not a mental health professional or a doctor. So the things that I'm going to talk about are coming from just real-life experiences, either for myself or for clients that I have worked with. We're going to talk about mental health and physical health, emotional health, and our general well-being during today's episode, and specifically how those relate directly back to your caregiving experience.
