Forgiveness can be a daunting and seemingly unthinkable task. Throughout time and even in today's day in age it seems easiest to seek revenge on those who have hurt us. This sermon magnifies Jesus' example of ultimate love when He asks His Father to forgive those who mock and persecute Him "for they do not know what they are doing." We learn that forgiveness ultimately frees the forgiver and heals the heart towards love and breaks down forgiveness as the first way to Love Like Jesus.
