  • As We Forgive Our Debtors
Using the parable of the unforgiving servant, Jesus teaches us that Christians owe forgiveness to their debtors. Why? 1. They have been extravagantly forgiven by God. 2. In forgiving them, they now belong to God. 3. They need to love both the gift and the Giver of forgiveness. Forgiveness from the heart does not mean that there are not consequences for actions nor does it minimize sins/debts, but it mean we must give up our right to get even.

  • Embrace Grace
The sermon exhorts believers to actively embrace God's grace rather than failing to avail themselves of it. It outlines that true grace requires the Lord as its source, must be balanced with truth and holiness, and is accessed through prayer and humility in times of weakness. The preacher warns against misusing grace as a license for sin, emphasizing instead that it empowers growth, forgiveness, and service within the church community. By examining various scriptural examples, the message illustrates how divine grace sustains believers through trials and transforms their lives. Ultimately, the text calls listeners to trust in this sufficient grace for salvation and daily living.

  • Putting on the New Man
This sermon explores the believer's new identity in Christ as described in Colossians 3, emphasizing the necessity of putting off sin and putting on the virtues of the new man. A significant portion is dedicated to the practical outworking of faith through bearing with one another and extending gracious forgiveness, grounded in the forgiveness believers have received from God. The message concludes by identifying love as the supreme virtue that binds all other Christian qualities together into a cohesive unity. Ultimately, the sermon calls listeners to actively cultivate these Christ-like attitudes to reflect their new spiritual reality.

  • In the Darkness, I Cry To You
When God sovereignly plans for your days to be long, painful, and hard, you must talk to HIM as the source of your deliverance, forgiveness, and restoration. - Though the dark days are very hard and deeply painful, you must plead with the Lord as your only hope for deliverance (5:1–13). - Though the dark days are the result of your sin, you must plead with the Lord as your only hope for forgiveness (5:14–18). - Though the dark days are from God's sovereign hand, you must plead with the Lord as your only hope for restoration (5:19–22).

  • No Little Sins
Because God is infinitely holy, every sin—no matter how small it seems to us—is a serious offense against Him. We are quick to dismiss our own faults as trivial while comparing ourselves favorably to others, yet the law of God holds us guilty for the smallest of our sins. As we grow in grace and see His holiness more clearly, our sense of sin deepens, but that very awareness draws us nearer to Him in repentance, strengthens our faith, and advances our sanctification. We must therefore refuse to minimize or excuse sin, and go to our Father in confession, trusting His faithful promise to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
