September saw Egypt's Planning Ministry unveil its National Narrative for Economic Development, a blueprint designed to anchor existing reforms and push the economy onto a faster growth track.
On the second episode of Forum Playback, we’re bringing you a one-on-one conversation with a key person behind the narrative: Rania Al Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation. Alongside Moustafa Bassiouny, Partner at The Enterprise Company, they dig into what this policy means for the country and the private sector (and our future employment).
Al Mashat gives a quick rundown of structural reforms and accountability mechanisms that the state’s pushing forward, inviting the room to read the policy and “consider this a public dialogue.” She then answers a question that sets the stage for the entire forum: what’s in store for Egypt’s business community in 2026?
To follow the conversation more closely, you can download Egypt’s National Economic Narrative through the ministry's website: https://moic.gov.eg/news/2150
Forum Playback is an eight-part series capturing the conversations we hosted as part of our annual EnterpriseAM Forum.
A big thank you to our sponsors: Banque Du Caire, Beltone, Banque Misr, HSBC, Mashreq, Post for Investment, Arkan Palm, Global Corp, MNT-Halan, Sodic, CI Capital, BCG, and Baker McKenzie.
