Torah Portion "קרח/Korah" which means "Bald," delivered on July 2, 2022.This week's portion covers Numbers/Bemidbar 16:1-18:32 and begins, "And Qorah, son of Yitshar, son of Qehath, son of Lĕwi, took both Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliyab, and On, son of Peleth, sons of Re’ubĕn,"What is it we learn from this section of scripture? Korah meaning BALD, no covering or under NO authority. This spirit is the same Luciferian spirit we’ve seen since the fall of the angels. It is insurrection and rebellion. The Millui Gematria value is 1,140 which correlates with scripture “If you act in the spirit of Korah you will corrupt yourself”. This transgression is weighty enough to get you kicked OUT of heaven and out of the camp of Israel. In this type of rebellion we see several steps. The first step is separation from the congregation - no trying to reason together - as the attitude is “my way or I leave.” It starts with lack of contentment. Korah was NOT content with his position and that the status of the firstborn was removed from his line, so he was in rebellion. The second step is to seek out like minded people who are also discontent. Third is to make accusations against the leadership while exalting yourself. Pastor also goes on to compare this with the teachings of the book of ACTS in which disciples follow the opposite steps and why it is so important that we don’t listen to those who are upset with leadership and that we separate from that evil. Ro’eh also teaches that the Mussar trait this week is on Zeal, Alacrity and being agile and flexible. This week our Haftorah teaching is delivered by Brother Mark from 1 Samuel 11:14-12:22, and the New Covenant E-drash is delivered by Ro'eh Richard from Jude 1:1-25.Please join us each week as we dig deep into scripture to learn more about who our God is, and reveal the Messiah throughout the Old Testament.Pastor Richard CortesThe Foundation of The Word Outreach Ministrieswww.thefoundationoftheword.orgAaronic Priestly Blessing performed by Rico Cortes of Wisdom In Torah Ministries https://wisdomintorah.com and used by permission.
