Foundational Podcast

Grace is not only something that we receive abundantly from God, but Scripture illustrates for us how we are to give that grace to others with equal generosity.

But not only does grace flow from God through us to others, but then it flows back to God in thanksgiving; and your thankfulness is grace back to God.

It is generosity - we're generous to others because God has been so generous to us.

God wants to multiply blessings in your life!

There are 4 ways you can begin experiencing that right  now; and that is what I'm sharing with you on my podcast today.

Every person experiences temptation.

Scripture tells us that there is no one righteous and that all have sinned. But God did an amazing thing, He came to earth in human form. Jesus Christ was 100% God and 100% man.

He made it possible for us to live victoriously and be free from the power of sin.

But how do we live and walk in that freedom every day?

That is what I talk about in today's podcast.

As Jesus disciples, we not only pattern our life after Him, but we also do the same works He did because God wants disciples to make a difference in this world.

Have you noticed that when Jesus chose His disciples, He didn't go to the Sanhedrin? He didn't choose His disciples among the Pharisees or the Sadducees?

This was one of the reasons they were so angry with Him.

He had gathered around Himself ordinary people and sent them out with the power to do what He did. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

If we want to live the blessed life, we must learn to live God's dream God's way.

Many men of God throughout Scripture had dreams. Dreams given to them by God.

God has a dream for your life, too; but the enemy is always trying to steal it. Jesus said, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10

He wants you to fulfill that dream.

But the only way you will fulfill God's dream for you is to do it God's way, not our way. When we try to fulfill God's dream our own way, we will not live the blessed life.

And that's what I share in today's podcast.

Last week we looked at John 14:12: "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."

He did not say "The apostles will do the works that I do" or "The evangelist will do the works that I do" or even "The pastors will do the works that I do". He said, "He who believes in Me...."

Walking in this level of signs and wonders isn't so that we can get goosebumps and feel really good. It's so that we can be a blessing to others.

God wants us both be blessed and to be a blessing, because the more we live the blessed life, the more we can be a blessing to those around us.

The question is: Are you living the blessed life?

That is what I'm talking about in today's podcast.

There is a verse in the New Testament that is very challenging for us today.

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." John 14:12

Jesus is giving to us a deep, theological principle about His disciples, those who believe in Him. He is saying is that those who truly believe in Him should be doing the same works He did, and even greater works than He did.

This verse should lead us to ask ourselves, "If I believe in Jesus, am I doing the same works Jesus did and greater works than He did?"

We have to remember that Jesus wasn't talking to theologians and religious leaders of His day, He was talking to fishermen, tax collectors, housewives, and other ordinary people like you and me.

So, how do we begin living in this new anointing so that we can go out and do the works Jesus did?

That is what I'm talking about in today's podcast.

When we were born again, Almighty God takes out of the kingdom of darkness and brings us into the kingdom of His dear Son. We were adopted into the family of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

And to give you the assurance that indeed you are a member of that family and therefore an heir and joint-heir of Jesus Christ, and the kingdom of Almighty God, He gave us the Holy Spirit to live inside of us as the seal of that covenant.

You are now a covenant son and daughter of almighty God. You are royalty!

Do you live like you're royal child of God?

That is what we're talking about on today's podcast.

Jesus said, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33

God wants to take those painful experiences and make them stepping stones to the blessed life and victorious living.

We live in a world where there is great brokenness, and the powers of darkness like to seize these moments.

They do this to convince you that you are a victim in order to build a stronghold in you of victimization so that you live out of that identity.

If the enemy succeeds in building a stronghold in your thinking, it will become a gateway to build more strongholds to torment you in your body, mind, emotions, and spirit.

We all experience painful experiences in life because we live in a fallen world; and the enemy wants to use those painful experiences to steal, kill and destroy.

The key to consistently being victorious in painful moments has to do with learning to walk with Holy Spirit and learning to fellowship with Holy Spirit in a deep personal way.

In today's podcast I share with you how fellowship with the Holy Spirit moves us from victimization to victory.

Jesus said, "Truly, truly I say unto you unless a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of heaven." Jesus called it being born again. Titus called it the washing and renewing of the Holy Spirit that makes us a whole new creation.

Salvation gives us a whole new life source so that we can begin living all things new.

But if we're going to go forward in that and consistently live all things new as a disciple of Jesus Christ, there are things that Scripture clearly says need to happen in our lives. It doesn't just happen all on it's own.

We have to cooperate with the work of God in our life so that we are consistently moving forward.

It's not about how fast you move forward, its how consistently you move forward.

And that is what today's podcast is all about: what we need to do to consistently move forward and live all things new in 2022.

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you." John 14:15-20

Do we shut up the kingdom of God to the general population?

Jesus never did that. He rebuked the religious rulers, but welcomed in the most ordinary people and those who the religious rulers thought were the worst of sinners.

When we protest by holding up our Christian signs, the majority of people don't get it.

They don't know what we're talking about.

They think we're being religious snobs and hypocrites, and that we're shutting up the kingdom of God to them and that we hate sinners.

The majority of the church loves sinners and recognizes that but for the grace of God they're lost!
