Foundational Podcast

From the very first prophecies about the birth of Christ, there is a consistent dual prophecy about both the present and eternal.

There will be a baby born who will be born on the throne of King David here on earth, but he will not only be  "Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace", but he is going to be over a kingdom forever.

There is this connection of the present and the eternal.

Jesus made it very clear in the gospels that the kingdom of God is within the hearts of men and women in this present time on earth.

However, in living that, the disciple of Jesus Christ understands that there is this constant perspective of the eternal kingdom; that life here is temporal, only for a season, because we have the hope of eternal life with Jesus Christ in the eternal kingdom.

And that is what today's podcast is all about. God gave us this gift of dualism: the tension between the present and the eternal, that tension that will help us to grow spiritually.

Today's podcast is a little different than my usual podcast. In today's podcast, my daughter interviews me about my latest book Willing: Doing Whatever It takes.

Willing is a biographical story of God miraculously working through the life of an ordinary man who is willing to go any where and accept any ministry assignment no matter how insignificant, as long as he has the assurance, God is calling Him.

The story follows him from an abusive boyhood through his senior years, sharing his amazing conversion experience and his call to Christian ministry.

Amazing events took place in his ministry from Montana to Canada, behind the Iron Curtain, in the Pacific Northwest, and even during the Croatian War of Independence.

Every miraculous event is authentic and not fiction. Biblical principles and precepts are illustrated for living a dedicated life to Jesus Christ in the home or in the business community.

You can order your own copy of Willing in Kindle or Paperback on Amazon by clicking this link.

Every day she lived for nine months, every place she went, every conversation she had, God was within her. Imagine, placing her hands on her tummy and feeling God move within her.

It is challenging to grasp when you are born again that God, Himself, takes up residence within your body.

When you repent and ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sin and make you a new creation, the Holy Spirit comes upon you and the power of the Highest overshadows you and you are born again “through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5; Romans 8:9-11).

Every day you live, every place you go, every conversation you have, God is in you.

It may seem impossible for you to live that kind of life. Maybe you come from a narcotics addiction or alcoholic background. Maybe you have not Christian background and it just seems impossible.

Remember, “With God nothing will be impossible.”

God has the unexpected gift waiting for every person on Planet Earth. The question is, will we receive it? Not everyone is willing.

We read about this in the Gospels.

Jesus visited many people in many towns and villages, but not everyone received Him. They didn't want His divine encounter, and they missed His visitation.

Maybe His divine encounter will be like the Woman at the Well - where He wants to transform your life.

Maybe His divine encounter will be like Zaccheus - where Jesus' love changes you forever.

Maybe He wants to visit you with the unexpected gift of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and a spiritual language, because that is the source of power that gives you strength to walk in victory.

Don't miss God's encounter for you.

Don't miss even one gift that He has for you!

That is what I'm talking about in today's podcast.

What should the Church do in a time of great delusion, when Government, media, and seemingly all around her truth is being purposely distorted and put out as fact?

This is not a time for the Church cocoon and hunker down in her four walls until Jesus returns.

He is coming, but He came us a command with the knowledge of His coming to watch, be faithful and do the work. This is not a time for the child of God to hide, begin compromising, and making excuses.

In the midst of this time, when the culture is on a downslide, the Church must stand for truth and righteousness, and boldly speak truth without compromise because truth is what will make people free!

And that is why I am talking about in today's podcast.

There are way too many of God's children trying to fight spiritual warfare with a Q-Tip. They don't have the Word of God in their heart.

The Bible sits on their bookshelf all week long.

Recent surveys show that 75% of those who claim to be Christians, who go to church regularly, never open their Bible from Sunday to Sunday.

But it is the Word of God that is our sword. We can't go to spiritual battle effectively without a sword.

And that is what I'm talking about in today's podcast.

There are Christians who have trouble in their walk with God because they are not sheltered. They are an open target for the enemy's attacks.

Remember Psalm 91:

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.' He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; (vs 1, 2, 4)"

They don't have protection over them and they wonder why they are facing attack all of the time.

They are lacking the shield over them. The shield of faith.

And that is what I am talking about in today's podcast. We need to not only learn about the shield of faith, but how to use it to dwell in God's protection day and night.

God wants men and women to know that Jesus is in their midst. He is right here with you right now.

Worship and other things may help you grow more aware of His presence with you, but the question is: Is Jesus in your midst, and if He is, do you only have a form of godliness, or do you have Jesus in your midst?

And how will people know?

Would they accuse you of being a Jesus follower? Is there enough evidence to accuse you of following Jesus and what would they present?

This is what I am sharing in today's podcast.

The enemy wants to paralyze the army of God with fear. It's a weapon he has used down through the ages.

He wants to intimidate, paralyze, and dominate because he knows that if he succeeds in this, he can control you and convince you to start doubting God's promises.

This is why God gave us the armor of God, to protect us from the attacks of the enemy.

If you want to walk in victory every day, free from the paralyzing fear, intimidation, and domination of the enemy, you need to wear the breastplate of righteousness!

In today's podcast, I share how the breastplate of  righteousness defeats fear.

In Ephesians 6:10-18, we are given the armor of God, the clothes that every Christian should wear if he or she wishes to walk in continual victory over the enemy.

The first piece of armor we're told to put on is the belt of truth.

On Roman armor, the belt is what held everything together. It is also what held the sword. The sword of the Spirit - the Word of God

Jesus said that if we are His disciples, we will know the truth and the truth will make us free. Truth (the Word of God is the final truth) is what makes us free!

So, I have a question for you.

Are you wearing the right clothes to go into this spiritual battle we're in right now?

If you're not wearing the right clothes, you will be caught unprepared to fight the way we need to fight in the ever-increasing heat of persecution that is coming our way.

That is what I talk about in today's podcast.
