Flavio Affinito - Co-Founder of NuOceans. After months of research, travels and tests, NuOceans created its first prototype of sandals reusing old pairs of flip flops as raw material. Flavio moved to London to study Biology and Imperial College in the hopes of becoming a researcher in Marine Biology to follow his passion of working on marine mammals. After completing both undergraduate and Masters degrees there, he went to head a research team in Montenegro working on the marine life there. It is during this time that he began to doubt whether his research would have the impact he was truly committed to in life. So when one of his best friends invited him to come back and start a business venture of their own, he did.
