Carson Duggan played played hockey for St. Lawrence University on a full ride scholarship, then internationally in Prague for HC Slavia Praha. Following her successful playing career she entered the coaching world at Trinity College, eventually going onto coach at Ohio State and UConn. Now she coaches at WHL Academy, an online platform helping girls get recruited to play college hockey. We had a great conversation about her recruiting process, being grateful for opportunities, her tips for mental training, and more!

Like most college athletes, Hattie had some difficulty with the transition from high school to college. She cited stigma as a main reason she did not open up to her coaches and teammates sooner. We had a great conversation about being vulnerable, reaching out to teammates, and what she thinks should be done to better support student athlete mental health!
