Hey, what’s going on, guys? It’s Dr. Boyce Watkins, and today I want to share four simple signs that you’re above average financially. These are quick indicators to see where you stand.

First, you’ve got an emergency fund. Believe it or not, less than 40% of Americans can handle a $1,000 emergency without going into debt. If you have that safety net, you’re ahead of most.

Second, you invest regularly. About 55% of Americans own stocks, but not everyone does it consistently. If you’re investing consistently, you’re building wealth in a way most people aren’t.

Third, you carry little to no credit card debt. The average household has $5,700 in credit card debt. If you’ve got that under control, that’s a huge win.

Lastly, you max out your retirement contributions. Only 12% of people max out their 401(k) contributions. If you’re doing that, you’re in the top tier.
