The discussion on the defenders episode means there's probably less money around for midfielders and so the lads compare the broad selection of 8.0m options, alongside a range of cheaper alternatives including a nailed on starter playing in the hole at 4.5m.

Welcome back to the FPL Lounge! Join Chris & Andy for a third season as they take a relaxed look at the trials and tribulations of the addictive Fantasy Premier League.

This season the lads will be producing just one show a week, the flagship GW Preview pod in order to give you, the listener, the best possible content. Each preview will remain loosely the same as in previous seasons, taking team news, injuries, form and things we’ve spotted into account, highlighting players we’re beginning to notice on our radar, questioning some FPL groupthink, and looking at the top captaincy options for each gameweek.

They will though, of course, still look back at what has happened over the previous GW to help better inform their preview shows going forward. 

The lads will also be resurrecting their series of season preview pods, the FPL Lounge Long Weekend, with a podcast per position group released the week before the season starts.
