The image that many of us have about becoming a real estate investor is that of someone in a vest banging on a tenants front door demanding the rent with a wrench in his or her hand as the toilet is in need of repairs.  Of course, this is one extreme of property ownership.  The other extreme or other end of the spectrum of property ownership is where we have the benefits of property ownership, but with no operational involvement.
