My second book report on the pod! I was inspired to make this so that everyone can access Mary Shelley’s iconic cornerstone of science fiction in her own words, whether or not you have the time and energy to sit down and read it yourself right now. There’s much to unpack when it comes to Guillermo Del Toro’s 2025 Frankenstein adaptation and Maggie Gyllenhaal's The Bride (2026), but for today we focus on the original text, all of the characters and plot, and my interpretation of the themes Shelley explores.
