After watching Monsters and the Menendez Brothers documentary on Netflix, the Tiktok movement, and celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rosie O'Donnell want Lyle and Erik Menendez to be released.
Their court date is set for November 29 and they are expected to have their sentences reduced to manslaughter so they will be released. I CAN NOT WAIT. Justice will never be served, because Jose Menendez received no jail time, but at least Erik and Lyne can get their freedom back, which was taken from them at the age of 6.
What's next for the brothers? I don't think their marriages will survive. I want a docuseries about their lives post prison. I want to see how they navigate a world with Internet and cell phones and apps. They've been in prison since the early '90s. Things have changed! This story is interesting af.
Watch the specials on Netflix already, if you haven't, so you can join the online discussions on social media. Shout-out to Ryan Murphy and Netflix for putting millions of people onto this grave injustice and the homophobia that ruined these young mens lives.
