Hi there!

I’m on a 3-week solo trip in Europe for the very first time. I set foot in Malaga, Espana three days ago. As I was sitting by the beach yesterday, I felt like recording this episode.

This summer, I was a witness to my mother’s cancer diagnosis. I ended up being the one who told her that doctors found, out of the blue, a tumor on her ovaries. After months of being told she was alright, it was a shock for everyone.

This news came two weeks after I “celebrated” 25 years since my father’s passing. He died from a rare cancer, one that attacked his nervous system.

Back in January, I knew that the apex of my yod being in Pisces, I would experience some intense stuff. But I did not really expect that.

Funny enough, I recorded this episode not knowing that the north node in Pisces would conjunct my Mercury in Pisces today, out of all days…

I mean, this only reinforces what I now believe to be true: it was all part of a plan.

I really feel like we’ve all been here before. A part of us knows. It’s just a matter of connecting to our intuition often enough to remember.

Hi FTBO fam!

Today, I’m sharing with you a conversation I had with Torie from Holy City Mystic on astrology, and most specifically, the Yod aspect.

I have been exploring the Yod for some time. My curiosity got piqued 2 years ago, when I learned I have a Yod in my birth chart.

The words “Finger of God” and “fate” were found in everything I read on the subject. As someone who deeply believes that she can “write her own story” and “empower herself to create the life of her dreams”, let me tell you: it’s pretty confronting to learn that I might just be thrown left and right on a path that leads me somewhere I apparently HAVE to go. It’s like this constant pressure to do or create something I know I have to, but I don’t really know how, or why, or even WHAT it is?

I reached out to Torie in December 2024, and we had this chat in the first few days of January this year. Torie is an amazing (and wise!) astrologer from South Carolina who I discovered on YouTube thanks to the algorithm that noticed I was *often* searching for information on the Yod aspect.

She has 3 yods in her chart (!!!) and I just love the way she explains astrology. I highly recommend diving into her YouTube channel.

I was lucky to get my chart read by her after our conversation. And listening to her way of seeing the planets communicating together felt like EVERYTHING made sense. Like everything had its place. Like everything was explainable.

We often hear the phrase “it was written in the stars”. Well, I feel like maybe it was?

I’ve been reviewing my perspective on free will since then (which I find confronting, obviously). I’ll keep you posted on my experiments!
