I made my first $1000 on Amazon and I’m gonna share how I got started, and the whole process from finding products to sell, to finding a manufacturer to make the product for me, to when the sales started rolling in.

Hey friend, I am loving today’s topic because I realize that I have been an entrepreneur for a decade.

10 years ago, in 2012, when I was 18 I opened my Etsy store and that started this whole journey of entrepreneurship.

The things I sell on my store now are very different from what I was selling back then, but my Etsy store has always been an outlet for my creativity.

Back then I was selling hair accessories, then I sold knitted beanies for the winter, I actually didn’t sell art until maybe 2015.

And now I sell digital shirt designs so I’ve pivoted so much on this journey and now here I am 10 years later and I’ve been reflecting a lot about the things I’ve learned throughout this journey.

Etsy’s current system has allowed digital sellers such as myself to be scammed and allows fraudulent buyers to access our files for free.

These days it’s much more difficult to grow your page because new accounts are being made every day, Instagram is getting more and more saturated which means it’s harder to stand out, and of course there’s that pesky algorithm that reduces your visibility.

If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that I was able to grow my old Instagram to 10K followers in about 2-3 years, that was back in 2018 or so, but now that I have a brand new social media for my T-shirt design business, things are different now and it will be harder, but not impossible, to grow my new business page to 10K and beyond.

However, in order to get to 10K, first you need to reach a smaller milestone like 1000 followers.
