"Got a BFA from TCU in Graphic Design, freelanced all through college, worked at Tractorbeam and then Switch before leaving design world to stay home with our newborn triplets in 2011. Realized working for someone else was not going to work with our new giganto family so while doing some freelance design work here and there, I started learning a lot more about photography, had a lot of brain picking conversations with friends who were photographers, and asked friends to let me "practice" taking their family photos. During my first few years as a working photographer I assisted on a couple of weddings and realized I was pretty good at it, and started a wedding photography business with a partner in 2014. I split my time between family and wedding photos along with other small commercial jobs interspersed throughout and have been doing a combination of those practices ever since. Right now I'm continuing to photograph families, interiors, headshots and a small number of weddings each year. I'm applying to grad school for an MFA in intermedia art to begin next year, so I'd love to talk about how flexible freelance work can be as your interests and personal goals and desires evolve over time."

"I am a designer and illustrator living in Oak Cliff, Texas. Throughout my time in Oak Cliff, I've been able to develop real relationships with small business owners that, in turn, gave me a chance to learn and grow in my own business. It has been tough, for sure, even now I struggle with doubts and lack of confidence with each new project but I keep doing it because I truly believe this is what I am to do. I am a creative...there has never been another option.

"I studied biology in college with plans to become a physical therapist, but looking back I was always fated to become a photographer for the social media masses -- as evidenced by me taking photos of raindrops on roses in the front yard as a child and trading minutes practicing piano for points towards my mom's point and shoot film camera. (I never earned the camera unfortunately, but I bargained my way into her letting me take it to disneyland..) Currently I've reached my lifelong goal of being comfortable in calling myself a "photographer" and absolutely love my clients and what I do. Most of what I shoot is social media oriented -- I work with a lot of local bloggers, businesses, restaurants, hotels, and events. I'm from Los Angeles, but Dallas has stolen my heart.
