April is a filmmaker based in Dallas, Texas, focused on authentic storytelling. She first picked up a camera in middle school and has been obsessed with creating films ever since. She loves experiencing new things and traveling to new places but never says no to a quiet night at home with her husband, Clint, her dog, Moose, and cat, Brutus.

As a director and filmmaker, she has spent years honing her creative expertise as a visual storyteller. She produces all of her films with a keen awareness to the details of the story. April believes great storytellers are collectors of emotions, sounds, environments and moments. We all compose our own stories through small moments - moments that connect us to each other through the good, the difficult and a purpose greater than ourselves.

She loves telling narratives that form the common human experience.

"I'm an editorial photographer, focusing mainly on portraiture (mostly on location). I received my BFA from North Texas college in 2003. I assisted other professional photographers for 3 years, then slowly started shooting on my own. Also, a little over a year ago some partners and I started a co working space for creatives called Flocc. I love photography, and it is what I do for $, but Flocc is the part of me that wants to do something that is fulfilling and helps others. I really get a lot out of helping others."

“My first glimpse of the power of storytelling was in 2000 on my first trip overseas to Bulawayo, Zimbabe. After this, I began a career in software & information systems management, but I could never get away from the joy of photography. I eventually started my photography company, doing a variety of work, including portraiture, weddings and events. In 2009, I began focusing on using photography to move an audience into a much bigger story through international travel & commercial engagements. Since then, I’ve travelled all over the world with companies big and small.
