What Is A Talent?
A biblical talent was the highest unit of weight and currency in ancient Israel, typically representing about 75–100 pounds (34–45 kg) of silver or gold. In terms of labor, one talent was worth roughly 20 years of wages for a typical laborer
$1,100,000 (1 Talent)
To put it in perspective: 20 Years of earnings. Using today's average wage in North Carolina ($55,000), that's comparable to $1,100,000—an enormous amount.
