Call To Worship:

Worship In Song:
“A Thousand Hallelujahs”

Message: The Gate of Heaven
Speaker: Rev. Tyler Jernigan
Key Verses: Genesis 28:10-17 (NKJV)
Jacob was running from his brother. He stole his father’s birthright and his brother was after him. Jacob went into the woods and slept there. While sleeping he had a dream.
Jesus will find you in your dark places.
God reached down to Jacob to get his attention.
We focus on the darkness, the circumstances, that we do not even realize it. But He is there.
Hosea 1:6 (NKJV)
Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
Let the Word of God fuel your faith!
Jacob is the first person that ties his encounter with God with the place where he met him.
Matthew 16:18, 23 (NKJV)
Gates are access points. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are God’s House, not a building or a particular place.
Ephesians 5:18 (NKJV)
Jesus was the gate among us.
John 1:51 (NKJV)
Jesus became the access point of Jacob’s dream. Jesus was the ladder.
John 1:14 (NKJV)
Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
The Holy Spirit is the gate within us.
John 14:12 (NKJV)
Another (in Greek) means two things…
One of a different kind
One of the same kind
Jesus was the same kind.
The Holy Spirit was first mentioned in Genesis 1:2 and not the Book of Acts. The Holy Spirit has been around since the beginning.
Move in faith and always do so from a place of compassion. It creates a lifestyle.
Can we keep on going the way we are going? Can we continue to claim so much and produce so little?
