Kiara Scuro is Rosie Ama and Nadia, two London-based friends, DJs, and radio hosts. Formerly known as ATLAS, they currently host a weekly show on Balamii Radio, which focuses on dark and hypnotic sounds that cross tempos and eras. They also have forthcoming appearances at Glastonbury, Dimensions, and Field Maneuvers. We air a heady introduction to their sound, before T.Margos plays some reverent techno.

This week we introduce our listeners to Sarah Callesen.

The Auckland-based artist and graphic designer has been captivated by techno & experimental / IDM ever since the 1990s & lucky for us is finally getting behind the decks. Sounds made by Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Plastikman/Hawtin & the labels Warp and R&S Records feature strongly in her musical memory from time spent living in London, Tokyo & Paris. Sarah is now deep into her Masters in Fine Arts with a focus on women and technology. Naturally, the first part of her mix for us explores 1960s and ‘70s analogue synth and tape works from electronic music’s pioneers before delving into some hefty faves. Simon (FP DJs) then looks after your ears till finish. Massive thank you to both for the beautiful music.

Him is the project of Jazmine Rose Phillips, an Auckland-based multidisciplinary artist. For the show, she crafted an assemblage of recent work for us. Listen to soundscapes taken from her theatrical show 'Rosemary' - an exploration of mother Mary, recordings made during her Morni Hills India Art and Performance Residency in the Shivalik Ranges of the Himalayas and the piece 'Of Bleeding Weeping Cunt' made under the watch of the moon.
