For the past decade and a century of releases, Cooper Bowman's @altered-states-tapes has been documenting the sound of the experimental and electronic underground of Australia and beyond. He previews some new AST gear, his own forthcoming releases, and more kindred sounds for the first half of the show.

After, we hear from Polish heavy hitter ISNT. As well as releasing club-ready machine music via Vanity Pill and her own Behind The Scene imprint, ISNT is the co-founder of @oramicspl, a radical platform empowering women, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ people in electronic music through out central and eastern Europe. Durham Fenwick's Green Grove began in early 2018 with the Night Music EP, written and recorded on borrowed and bought synthesisers during the 2017; With influences based in exotica, lounge and electronic library music, The focus has since moved towards bringing the music to the a live setting, transforming it into a spooky, surreal and immersive show with a full band.

They're currently finishing their second record due for a release towards the end of the year.

The recording for the FP show is taken from the desk at a live show at the Hollywood Cinema in Avondale. Big thanks to Leonard McMullen for the desk recording.

Tash van Schaardenburg has racked up more hours on the dance floor than playing music but credits their inexperience with the unbridled playfulness and raw enthusiastic energy channelled into their electronic music duo Bib Kids, which recently completed a tour of NZ to celebrate their debut EP.

The band is now on hiatus while Tash gets stuck into their solo music project Citacsy, which promises to emerge soon with some 'cool and clubworthy' sounds. Tash also plays with experimental-electronic-environmental-sound trio VSSL.

We start off in Melbourne with a stunner of a set from @jesssned. Jess is a full time designer & part-time DJ known for cleverly blending experimental, cosmic chug & hard-edged body music. Jess also hosts 'Fluorescence' on Skylab Radio & will play at their 1st Birthday celebrations on June 9.

To complete the trip, its North Londons @LoraineJames, the Oram Award winning producer and DJ. Loraine is breaking through the UK avant-garde scene, with a recent release on New York Haunted & future shows with Machine woman and Klein. She delivers a beautifully off-kilter mix to finish.

This week, we're joined by some rising stars in NZ's dance scene.

As a teen, Auckland's Clay Louis threw raves in abandoned factories around Auckland. Now, he helms the Eleventh Realm series of parties across the city, and has a rep for his own percussive productions and DJ sets.

Benny Salvador's sets are the product of an innate curiosity & a childhood steeped in music. They've contributed to his meteoric rise - he has played for Splore for the last 3 years, runs his own "Friends with Benefits" club night at Club 121, and regularly plays across the country. And all while managing to make it to high school each week.
