Friendly Potential Radio

New York native Son Of Sound is a house legend. His discography reaches back to 1991, with releases on Strictly Rhythm, King Street Sounds, Delusions of Grandeur, MAW Records and more. His freshest release is the four-tracker 'Machines On The Dresser. It is full of deep NYC grit, and is out mid-December on his own District 30 imprint. He shows us how it is done in the first half.

After that, we hear from Fray Mysterio. The Auckland-based artist has just released his debut EP via Heat Rockers Records, featuring remixes from recent guests Amamelia and Peach Milk. He goes back to his roots, with a delicious set that includes a bunch of old Skam and Warp faves.

One of the most powerful combos in New Zealand music takes over the broadcast. For over two decades Reggie Dokes has been carving his own path in the world of underground house music. He rose quickly through the Detroit scene in the early 90s, being Derrick May's go-to support act and releasing records on his own Psychostasia imprint. Since then, he has racked up releases for labels like We Play House Recordings, Sistrum, and Prime Numbers. We celebrate his latest release for MATE's From Detroit To Madrid series with a mix dripping with soul.

After that, we hear from Breaka. The UK artist broke through last year, with a stellar release on Desert Sound Colony’s Holding Hands Records that was battered by the likes of Call Super and Noncompliant. He is set to launch his own imprint later this month, including tracks almost custom-made for his workout focused party Stretchy Dance Supply. Get ready to sweat.

Michael Morley is a storied Dunedin musician and visual artist, particularly renowned for his work as Gate and with The Dead C. This year he has released two solo records, and toured the USA and Europe performing works for The Never Quartet. He is currently recording and mixing a number of projects, including The Never Quartet, and works for solo 12 string acoustic and solo 6 string electric guitar. Michael chose two long-form pieces for the show.

After that, Martin Zero steps up. Martin is a Miami-based record nerd who has been at it since the late 90s. He is a regular fixture in the underground dance scene in Seoul, as a resident DJ for Clique Records, and founder of the YeoboSeYo? parties. He contributes an all 7" vinyl mix, put together as only he knows how.
