Ro: Străzile Bucureștiului erau mai aglomerate ca niciodată.
En: The străzile of București were more crowded than ever.

Ro: Pe geamurile mici ale apartamentului modest fluturau lumini calde.
En: On the small windows of the modest apartment, warm lights flickered.

Ro: Afară era târziu, iar orașul începuse să se liniștească sub cerul de iarnă târzie.
En: Outside, it was late, and the city began to quiet down under the late winter sky.

Ro: Într-un colț al apartamentului, Andrei privea gânditor spre sora lui, Mirela.
En: In one corner of the apartment, Andrei watched thoughtfully towards his sister, Mirela.
