At approximately 3 a.m. on New Year’s Day, law enforcement officials reported that 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove a truck into a gathering in New Orleans and subsequently opened fire, resulting in the deaths of at least 14 individuals and injuring many more. Jabbar, who was killed during an exchange of gunfire with the police, had an ISIS flag displayed on his vehicle. Additionally, he had shared multiple videos on Facebook just hours prior to the incident, in which he expressed his allegiance to ISIS.
