We are ready and excited to be part of the 18th Street Farmer’s Market again this year. The gardens are producing early crops like lettuce blend, radishes, rhubarb, and spinach. Tomatoes are being planted this week along with the peppers.
As always we will have our jams nearly world famous scones.
Come out and see us beginning May 18, 2019 every Saturday morning from 8:00AM until noon or we are sold out, whichever comes first.
Until next time…
We’ve had an eventful week here at Five Feline Farm.
A new colony of honeybees being hived. Donna received the Paul Overton award from the School of Continuing Education at EIU.
And a snake incident.
It’s going to get interesting…
Over the past weekend we attended the Mother Earth News Fair in Asheville, NC. We have been long time Mother Earth News readers and also attend as many of the Fairs as possible. The Fair is for homesteaders, naturalists, market gardeners, beekeepers, those interested in self-sufficiency and sustainability as well as people interested in improving their health. There is truly something for everyone.
If you are interested in subscribing to any of their magazines, you can do that through the link below. (This is an affiliate link.)
Otherwise, just check out the website for Mother Earth News and the Mother Earth News Fair.

Our first annual Warm Up To Market event was a resounding success! Four vendors plus a collectable small engine demonstration joined us at the Farm Fresh Mercantile on April 13, 2019 for a beautiful day in the country. Bee My Honey, Prairie Pines Farm, Hazel Anne Farm, Whittaker Beef and Ted Miller offered information and wares to young and old.
In case you missed it, here is proof that grower MB had spinach as big as Donna’s head.
There is always something happening here at the Farm. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for up to the minute details.

It is time for some exciting news about Five Feline Farm. Someone has an announcement about her plans for the Farm and future.
