Probably the most common question asked of a victim of abuse is, "Why don't they just leave?"
Quite often, we're just as baffled as you are, but after leaving my last abusive relationship I began to look deeper into that question. I will attempt to answer this question, not just for family and friends, but also the victim themselves. Why? Because I believe knowledge is power, and I want you to feel empowered to do what is right for YOU in YOUR situation.
In this episode, I am going to talk about Love bombing, a technique that abusers use to manipulate their victims, and explain the process of trauma bonding, which makes it so difficult to leave.
Finally, I will share a few tips to help you recover from abuse or how you can best support your loved one who is involved in an abusive relationship.
