I Thought I’d do a quick debrief of the Licence to Grill event that Anastasia and I put on last weekend. We had a couple of Bond nuts turn up, Fleming Never Dies, Calvin Dyson, Simon Firth, Views From Mark.

No guests on the show this week so I do a quick solo debrief on why it's depressing being a Bond fan right now.

Today on the show I am doing a recap of the 40th Anniversary of Octopussy down at Nene Valley Railway. An event hosted and created by On the Tracks of 007, Martijn Mulder. 

The event was a reunion of the cast and crew including the movie's director John Glen and Bond girl Kristina Wayborn (Magda) to name but a few. 

To breakdown the event I'm joined by author and event organiser Marc Hernandez.

On today's show I talk about James Bond and his connection to Scotland. I take a walk to Sean Connery's memorial in Fountainbridge, I drive to Eilean Donan Castle that posed at the northern Mi6 HQ, and even get accosted by a hitch hiker as I get lost down Skyfall Road. 

Although in his defence he could have just been a regular hiker who was making small talk as to where I was heading.

In today's episode I give a field report from the Bollinger Bar, and how I came close to tears having to pay £7.50 for a bottle of small sparkling water. I also visit N.Peal, Floris, Globetrotter and Fortnum & Mason. Although admittedly, I only went in Fortnum & Masons to use the toilet.

We finished the tour in Floris and I made a purchase of the No.89 (Fleming's preferred scent).

There is a new feature on the podcast called One Minute Review where I give my thoughts on the fragrance. Although confession, I have no sense of smell so have lifted many of the thoughts from auto generated chat online. 

At the start I also talk about the Beaches of James Bond that I've frequented over the years, and discuss the legalities of taking small bottles of sand from said beaches. I digress and talk about my good fortune when someone from my hotel parasailed into a smack of white jelly fish, which resulted in me being given his fully inclusive drinks package.

In this episode I trial out a thought experiment, would James Bond own a cat? What kind of man owns a cat and does he share the same 'manly' personality traits as Bond? If you snigger when you hear the word pussy does that make you a chav? 

At the beginning I briefly compare myself to Ronan Keating. Both of us can't sing and no one cares what comes out of our mouths any more. I also talk about my job as a 3D scanner and imagine how my vocation can be of great use to the big wigs at Bond and/or Pinewood execs. 

I read out a scam email on my ListenerMail and there is a song at the end called Champagne Leader from my new yet untitled album.
