Did humans evolve from some kind of ape-like creature? Well, Genesis says no—God created man from the dust of the ground and woman from his side.

And consider what Jesus said when he was asked about marriage, “But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’” Notice Jesus says, “from the beginning of creation.”

In the evolutionary story, humans evolved billions of years after the beginning of the universe. But Jesus reminds us that humans have been here since the beginning. This only makes sense if God created humans during a literal six-day creation week, just like he said he did in Genesis!
