Shawn, Sam, John, and Rob reflect on the record breaking night at Fitzpatrick Stadium when the 7th place Hearts of Pine hosted the 3rd place Spokane Velocity.In what could possibly be a playoff preview in the first round of the 2025 playoffs, the Hearts of Pine battered the Spokane Velocity 6-1.Sam and John discuss the feeling in the stadium, as Rob and Shawn talk about their experience from the couch and watching it on TV. Will 6,300 to 6,400 attendance be the norm in the future for the Hearts of Pine at Fitzpatrick Stadium?Shawn talks about the JayTee/Natty James combination, and how Natty James really needed a match like this one to feel like he can come off the bench and provide for his team. John and Sam debate on if Nathan Messer's goal was a cross or a shot, and Rob talks about Titus's goal and what that does for his confidence going into the playoffs. Rob Chappell from Talkin' Flock, the first ever guest of the DU Crossover, is back again talking with Shawn Fecteau about their matchup on October 4th at Fitzpatrick Stadium at 5pm edt. Rob and Shawn reminisce about their last matchup on May 24th, when the Hearts of Pine visited the Mingos at Breese Stevens Field.Rob brings us up to speed on the season for the Mingos since the last time we saw them. The players that have been signed, the draws that have been recorded, and the defensive style of play and passing that Forward Madison is known for. Shawn talks about the 1-0 loss to Union Omaha on the day of recording, and the absence of Hearts Head Coach Bobby Murphy on the day due to illness. Is there a flu running through the Hearts locker room a month before the playoffs, or is it just a massive rotation mid week to try and breathe some life into those legs for the matchup against Forward Madison?Rob asks Shawn about the Hearts season so far this year, and Shawn talks about the hard work, good people, luck, and humility that has gone into this season for both the Hearts of Pine and the Dirigo Union. A Dirigo Union supporters group that now has over 800 paying members in their first year.
