#148. Kory! Kory! Ya playin? Nope. He’s not playin. So we called up a third chair from way back in episode #017: friend and middler, Jim Taylor! Kendall updates us with a positive turn concerning his kids and Star Wars before we move on to discussing the new Marvel series, Moon Knight. We’re one episode in and already have strong feelings about this one. We also ask Jim about the Marvel migration from Netflix to Disney Plus. He’s into some of the old shows, but has a particular liking to Dare Devil. After the break, we have a side by side taste test of frozen nugget cooking preparations. #147. “That guy just charms my pants right off.” Hello everyone! We kick this one off by sharing some responses to our question from episode 146 about things you’ve tried to share with loved ones but it didn’t go as hoped. This was a great topic with some fun interaction. Thank you! We also share a couple stories which give us hope for the future of the service industry, including one which begs the question: if a restaurant gives you free food, is all forgiven? We generally think free food cures a lot of woes. What do you say? Also, in a rare moment of discussing something political, we dive into the possible permanence of daylight savings time. There’s also something about firearms. We have a quick mention of the Oscars, which had clearly not occurred at the time of recording this episode. #144. We start off with our call to action. We love the interaction in the Facebook group! We are asking if some of you can also call in or send us a message with a question or story you would like us to react to in a future episode. The first meat of our discussion comes from Dillon’s experience of joining his daughter in preschool. It turns out even adults can learn life skills in such an environment! We then talk about tiny food. Whether it’s edible or toy food, we’ve noticed a corner of the internet dedicated to folks creating such things and we nod to it. We also geek out not on LEGO, but some “wicked” display cases built for your favorite sets. A nice weekend led to some fun times on the road and the park, Kory took his family to a basketball game, and McDonald’s ice cream machine is still broken.
