  • From the Middle - Doing Disney, Dangerous Dining, and Dumb Drivers
#284. Kendall is away, Dillon is stuck in the snow, and Kory is overthinking his (Florida) Disney stories while in sunny California. While his family trip was mostly good, it wasn’t without hiccups, but we enjoyed hearing of the immersive experience targeting in on a Star Wars theme. After the break, Dillon shares some health information concerning crystals which rolls into drinkable gels. Kory breaks a chair, but I think it got glazed over. This week in drive-thru news, Dillon finds out whether or not (Raising) Caine’s is taking prisoners. Another common topic/pet-peeve, other drivers, the guys talk about people speeding up but only as you’re about to pass them on the highway, and we need your input and explanations via the LinkTree below! This week in streaming, we’re watching Your Friend Nate Bargatze, and the second seasons of Shrinking and Squid Game. We hope you enjoy! And happy new year! Until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Truck Story, Taco Bell Glory, and Basement Lavatory
#283. It’s 1993, Super Mario isn’t loading correctly, you take the cartridge out, and then what do you do? Every respectable elder millennial is doing the same thing and we talk about that. We also complain about Starbucks drink ordering and we find out Jesus lives in a central Ohio Taco Bell. Kory shares what happens when your gas gauge is your odometer and Kendall updates his basement with a fridge that almost didn’t make it. After the break we become Christmas movie critics as we guess Rotten Tomatoes ratings and we discuss a bit about what we’re watching. This week it’s Red One, Gladiator 2, Wolfs, Skeleton Crew, and Nutcrackers. There’s certainly two extra weeks of things to respond and react to in our socials! Check the LinkTree below! Until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Reviewing Soda, Restaurant Suggestions, and Robot Servants
#282. We’re reviewing pop flavors and talking basements again! Only the pop is a seasonal comeback from Starry and the basement is Kendall’s. One basement story leads us to discuss how we react to mildly startling events. Speaking of mildly startling, do you eat tortilla chips naked? You probably do, but I mean it’s the chip that is naked. After the break we find out there’s some deep problems with asking people for restaurant advice and we have more solutions than can be contained in one episode. We also talk about gift exchange choices and robotic lawn mowers. This week we’re watching the college football playoff coverage, Moana 2, and Somebody Somewhere. Lot’s to chime in on via the LinkTree below! and gifts to buy! Until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Your Name, THE Game, and Skinny James
#281. Are your pants too small now that Thanksgiving is over? We heat up the leftovers and tell you about our holiday. Then we find out that most of us experience issues with people understanding, remembering, or misspelling our name. Maybe Matt doesn’t deal with this, but Rebekah sure does. We ask you, how do you have to deal with your name in intercommunicative circumstances? Another name that’s easy to remember is Day, as in Ryan. We don’t have to share how his weekend went, but we do anyway. If you didn’t see this year’s Michigan vs Ohio State game, it may have big implications. On the back half we mostly discuss streaming with some talk about how the Stand-Up film winds are shifting toward Hulu with Jim Gaffigan’s The Skinny. We’re also watching Wicked, The Best Christmas, Godzilla Minus One, and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. We hope you enjoy it! Until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Crazy Thanksgiving Foods and Christmas Time Firs
#280. “The turkey goes ‘gobble gobble’ and then he gets his head chopped off. Whack!” That, believe it or not, is a weird Thanksgiving song. Weird and Thanksgiving gatherings can also overlap on the dinner table. Dillon goes through a list of odd dishes as we play “smash or pass,” and we would love to hear some of YOUR highs and lows from that list via the LinkTree below! On the back half, we enter Christmas decorating mode and discuss tree traditions, the possibility of those traditions shifting, and do a headcount of Christmas trees in our homes. Then it’s on to streaming. This week we’re watching Orange is the New Black, Return of the King: The Fall and Rise of Elvis Presley, An Idiot Abroad, and Game 7. Enjoy! Until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Vintage Cups, Early Bucks, and Hearts is Trump
#279. In your weekly Taco Bell news, the 90’s are back and more expensive than ever! Even the cups are throwback and they’re perfect for late night sipping or to add flare to your small painting projects. Kory joins us from what could be his last trip to Seattle for a while, but he does share a hunting story which is a bit happier and more easy-listening than some hunting stories from the past. After the break we talk internet speeds and cable management while Kendall makes memories with his kids around a cad table. Dillon earns a well-deserved promotion, then it’s on to streaming. This week we're watching Bye Bye Barry, Game 7, Investigation Alien, with honorable mentions to some spicy holiday movies. Join us via the LinkTree below and, until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Return to Beards, Basketball, and Boardrooms
#278. We’re almost halfway through November. How’s the beard growing? Have you shaved? Do you change your routine at all for No-Shave November? Speaking of routine changes, the three of us are heading into girl’s basketball season on three different levels. What’s your family transitioning to or from? Speaking of transitions, Kory’s career may be heading into new adventures and opportunities. The unknown can be uncomfortable, but he shares a more hopeful perspective. Finally, we shift our perspective to streaming with a small discussion about modern sitcoms. This week we’re watching Bye Bye Barry, Ellen’s farewell special, Orange is the New Black, Planet of the Apes, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolt (trailers), and the Frasier reboot. Lot’s to chime in on this one. Use the LinkTree to find places to do that! Until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Classy Malls, Community Moments, and Chopped Meats
#277. Your local mall is probably decking the halls, and we think a presidential election year is the perfect time to take advantage of the joy, even if premature. Speaking of elections, we discuss what voting and cake have in common and perhaps want to join arms in a grass-roots movement to save the nation. After the break, we discuss pepperoni and an innovation that Canada is bringing to pizza. We need your help either finding what we’re looking for or your ideas on how to ask our local shops to flosserize our toppings. This week in streaming, Dillon shares final thoughts on Agatha All Along as well as Tom Papa: Home Free, Axle F, and more Manning Cast with Jason Sudeikis. Chime in on all topics via the LinkTree below! Until next time, be kind to each other by baking a cake for your community.

  • From the Middle - Adult Costumes, AI Confusion, and Alberta Carnivorism
#276. We are From the Middle, and we approve this episode. Also, political ads are annoying. Let’s move on to the important stuff, such as the Where’s Waldo story arc and AI vs Al. Yes. I typed those differently. Speaking of differences, Mountain Dew changed their branding and of course we have opinions! After the break, Kory shares his beautiful experience at The Gathering in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Wonderful scenery, compelling content, emotional connection, and kangaroo for dinner. It was everything worth hearing about! That leads us into a thought provoking beginning to streaming with The Remarkable Life of Ibelin. Also in viewing we have the Dwayne Wade statue, the World Series, and Agatha All Along. Visit us via the LinkTree below! Until next time, be kind to each other.

  • From the Middle - Big Mumpkin, Breakfast Motels, and Binging Movies
#275. DOWN WITH BIG MUMPKIN! How do you feel about elementary school fundraisers? Let us know via the LinkTree below! As for us, we’re generally not fans. PTA’s are great, schools need our generosity, but are we doing our best? We also talk about hotels and how reliable a reality it is that the usb ports in the lamp aren’t going to work. But at least there’s breakfast in the morning. We then discuss nostalgic modern experiences such as mechanical bowling and mini-golf bars with an honorable mention to bowling alley pizza. On the back half, we have a champion amongst us, and Kory has a juice recommendation along with a tip on where to find swanky hotels at affordable prices. We do a lot of catching up in streaming. This week we’re watching The Bikeriders, Easy Rider, Civil War, Parasite,Dazed and Confused, Don’t Look Up, Agatha All Along, The Holdovers, Whites, Joker, and Manningcast. Enjoy! Until next time, be kind to each other.
